Actually, I recall him pick pocketing something the marketplace, but it just as easily could've been Wayans. Which opens up a possibility for a joke that makes me feel terrible just for thinking about it.

Anyways, I don't think that it could possibly be any worse than the original D&D movie. And if Sosa said that it's not that bad, then it must have done something to please the D&D fanbase. Hopefully something along the lines of not sucking so bad.

The book(yes, I read it) had a much better ending. Very plain and to the point, "Goodbye old friend." End close.

Also... Thora Burch as the "Empress" please! Get someone with a modicum of acting talent at least! This girl couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag! She was horrible in American Beauty and she was even worse here. And don't even get me started on the Wayans Brother... The movie had a lot of potential, but it flopped horribly because of bad decisions. I can only hope the second one(hopefully not a sequel) will be better. :stressed:

Honestly, I thought Kenan Ivory [Wayans] was the best actor in the entire cast.

I don't see how. He was trying too hard to be funny half the time, and the other half it was him critiquing the entire plot of the movie. It was like they had him for comic relief and also the audience's personal Avatar.

Well, in very good news, the rumor that Paris "I do anything for money" Hilton will not be in the cast. The IMDB also shows the box art for the movie, which contains a large Dungeons and Dragons logo ala Wizards of the Coast. Should be decent, at least.

It was Marlon... not Kenan. Kenan was the bald one from such things as In Living Color and [sarcasm] the classic action thriller [/sarcasm] "Most Wanted" which also featured JOhn Voight(sp?).

They probably got him to do it after Kenan turned it down because it wasn't high profile enough for him to put his name on.

Have any of *EVER* even tried to watch a Sci-Fi Channel original movie? IMO, this is nothing less than a step up from what they normally come up with, *EVEN* if it turns out to be twice as bad as the orginal DND.

But actually, from the promo I've seen, the new DND movie looks like it might be semi-decent. I mean the first one really suffered with hammy acting & crappy attempts at "humor". This one seems like its going to take itself a bit more seriously, which could be good if it doesn't go too far with that. Frankly, if it ends up like Dragonslayer (a good campy dragon movie) I'll be more than satisfied.

Shhhh. There are like four of them, I'm allowed to get them mixed up from time to time.

I agree with KC here. Most of SciFI's movies are pretty decent... except for that one Bruce Campbell movie with Gabrielle from Xena where they came home to earch to find it infested with people/wood eating insect aliens. That was just bad.

Man With The Screaming Brain was actually a pretty good and funny movie. I'm definitely giving this one a chance when it comes on. It'll give me a break from playing Dawn of War: Winter Assault for hours on end.(damn you Brian Clevinger for giving it a good review and being right! Damn yous I say!)

Myself, and all of my friends that watched it at a LAN, thought it was horrible. Just horrible. I'm not even going to bother going into it really, it was as bad or worse then the first movie. The first movie was also horrible.

Don't watch this movie if you aren't doing so for free.

:O_o:

Do I see the same Sci-Fi orginal movies that you guys do? I mean, sure some of them are entertaining, but for the most part...I find them lacking in quality, shall we say. There are exceptions, to be sure, but I found most of them to be pretty lame...especially the fantasy based ones.

I have very low hopes for this. Even the dracolich flying around in the commericial for it (at least I assume it's a dracolich) wasn't enough for me to get past my initial thought of "You have got to be kidding me!"
