Proof positive that *NOBODY* actually reads my posts. Anyway, I think GIR was confused by what I said & you just assumed what he was saying was accurate without reading the same post as mine.

What I was saying was that D&D was a step up for the Sci-Fi Channel, and quite frankly, I don't think even the Sci-Fi channel could do all that much worse than the 1st D&D. It might even be better.

I mean, the Sci-Fi channel can come up with some almost decent stuff. I mean, I kinda liked their Waterworld flick, and live-action The Guyver 2 was about the same quality as The Guyver 1.

I said "some" of their movies are decent. Maybe I used the word good, but it was a bit too strong. 90% of the movies on SciFi are under par B Movies. And I still agree with you, KC. This is a step up for them. I'll be watching it on Saturday because I'll have nothing better to do. Or I'll TiVO it and watch it when I'm bored(I may just go see Serenity again).

But remember, this is SciFi. The series shows they have are good because they don't cost a lot to make. The movies are about as good as they can be considering the money SciFi has to put into them. Personally, I'd rather see them put money into getting Firefly from Fox, but alas I am not in control of that.

Uhm, I can only assume you mean getting the rights so they can make new episodes, right? As they're airing the old ones already...

Besides, if the Serenity movie does well enough, that can only serve to encourage this likelyhood. I mean, Sci-Fi channel did add a few more years to Mst3k, so who knows? And while they're movies tend to suck, some of their original series have been worth watching. Invisible Man & Farscape were two of my favorites.

No, I read your post.

My mind just decided it was a more interesting read if it blotted out a few words for me. Sorry about that.

As a long time dungeons and dragons player/DM I feel the need to watch this movie even if it turns out really bad. The first one was a bomb to be sure but I hope this one fairs better.

Having seen it on Scifi less than an hour ago, I must say it is better than the first one... by far.

More thoughts to come once I sleep and am able to gather some.

Maybe I shouldn't reply to my own post...

The movie was great! The cgi and makeup were nothing to boast about but once the movie got started it felt like a real dnd campaign! I recognized magic items the characters used, and spells they cast. No more generic glowy swords or magic powder spells from the last movie. The actors actually you know, acted.

Dammit! Missed it! Stupid Prince of Persia! Any reruns of it?
