Dragonlance or Eberron campaign interest thread

The Eberron campaign would start at level 13 and the dragonlance campaign would start at level 9.

The Eberron campaign will not be as focused on fighting as the dragonlance campaign will be. It will have fighting, just that it will not always be the way to solve problems.

In both campaigns the characters will start together. You can be any alignment in both campaigns, the party could be of two evil people and two good people.

So is anyone interested and if so, in what campaign?

Edit: I am also looking for someone to be my CO-GM, a person that will correct me if I make any mistakes throught the battling system and such.

The stats will be a 32 point buy in. You are allowed to trade a familiar for a feat if you like. The starting gold(steel) will be 36,000 for the dragonlance campaign and 110,000 for the Eberron campaign.

I am absolutely most throughly interested in this, and while I don't have much information on the Dragonlance setting, I'm rather experienced in DnD.

If you'd like me to Co-GM also, I could do that.

As for the Eberron campaign setting. Isn't 13 a bit high? Most Eberron campaigns are lower-level bits, since it's supposed to be a "Low level world". Whatever you please, though. A bit of background on Dragonlance would be nice though, to see if my Champion of Bahamut build would fit or not. ((I know their dragons aren't the traditional kind.))

I would happily accept your help Pheonix. I will post some information on Dragonlance in a couple minutes, it is much less complex to explain then Eberron. Do you know much Pheonix or do you want me to fill you in on everything?

Edit: Well I know the Eberron campaign is supposed to be low levels but trust me, your going to WANT to be a high level for that campaign. Also what is the premise for your Champion of Bahamut? The dragons are mostly the same except they are much more active in the world as are the gods.

PhoenixFlame 10-04-2005 01:31 PM

Well, I'm familiar with Eberron, but know next to nothing about DL.

Riiiight... Daelkyr hunt?

Premise of the CoB is that I'd take some Fighter and Wizard levels, and PRC into Dragonslayer and Metallic Dragonknight (Or whatever the name of that one class is, in the Draconimicon.) If you'd let me take leadership for a dragon cohort, that'd be cool too. ;)

Incendius 10-04-2005 02:05 PM

Not Daelkyr hunt, but I might include one in though.

It could possibly work Pheonix though keep in mind, though you would be good, being a mage and a fighter is frowned on.

Next post i will have the deities for dragonlance.

Edit: Nm it would be extremely hard to explain all the deities. Ask any specific questions though and I will answer them.

Edit2: Double nm I found a site with some good explanations I will update moor soon Deities

Ah. One of those worlds. I could always be a pure wizard, then.

So, just a little background on the campaign setting you intend to run and I'll get right on making a character sheet.

Azisien 10-04-2005 02:22 PM

But we just started a DnD campaign!

...Damn it!

Can I be a troll? :)

Incendius 10-04-2005 02:40 PM

Lol, Pheonix there' still the possibility of an Eberron campaign. If everyone wants dragonlance though we'll have it, but don't make your character sheet yet.

The setting for the dragonlance campaign at the moment is during the third dragon war in the age of dreams.

(prewar)1399-1010 PC-Dark Queen plots (Takhisis)
Once more, the Dark Queen plots. She seeds the earth with dragon eggs, which she had carefully nurtured in the Abyss (hell). When the time is right, the eggs will hatch, allowing evil dragons to return to the world in vast numbers.

1060-1018 PC- Third Dragon war: The dragons unleash their fury, eventually turning toward Solamnia. The Orders of High Sorcery call a conclave gathering at the Tower of Palanthas to create the five dragon orbs to defend the Towers of High Sorcery. The orbs are taken to different key locations across Ansalon, with the one from the Tower of High Sorcery in Palanthas being placed at the center of the High Clerist's Tower. Dwarven Architects modify the tower making it a death trap that will utilize the dragon orb as a key component.

At the moment the dragon war has just started, the evil races are gathering to the banner of the dragons and Takhisis and starting their forays into Solmania as it is the biggest threat. The Elven kingdoms have fallen complacent and care less about the world giving room unlike in the last dragon war where the Elves were key in the defeat of the evil dragons. The knights of Solmania are preparing for defense gathering allies to help fight. Plagues and diseas sent by morgion are wracking the land and the good dragons are starting to respond despite their smaller numbers in repose to their evil brethren. The dragon orbs have not yet been created.

You still have to choose the alignment though if everyone wants a dragonlance campaign.

Azisien you could be a troll if you want, I'm not sure how I would handle the ECL and such, Pheonix could you help me with that?

Edit: I just thought something funny, wizards were not even allowed to cary any weapons in this era until just after the dragon war ended. But ill let it slide as long as any wizard in this campaing doesn't go around carrying axes.

I'm also interested in this; I have read a few DL books so I'd prefer the DL campaign myself. I never played in the DL setting though, so is there any big difference between it and regular DnD?

PhoenixFlame 10-04-2005 04:33 PM

Well, I'm up for either campaign setting. DL sounds neat though.

And yes, I can help you with ECL calculations, although I'm sure Azizien is aware of these... ;)
