Final Fantasy VI Glitch

Ok, this was probably just caused from some dust, but somehow my brother's FFVI game (SNES, which is somehow still playable) loaded up a save file with a green background, with lvl 99 characters and maximum GP. Like I said, the entire background (which was blue) turned green, and the text became red. The game was still playable! He was able to beat the game, then put it down for years till now.

I was lucky enough to get some shots of it, too!

Yes, you can definitely manipulate the text and windows to become any color of the rainbow. It's not a glitch.

But to keep the thread alive, I'd like to submit some. For anyone who knows me, you would know my boyfriend probably has an "unhealthy" fascination with FF6. He has found ways to manipulate the game to keep Locke in solider or merchant armor the whole game and to keep the Ghost character well into the world of ruin.

I swear to you this is 100% unedited. I will post a movie if I need to.

You can glitch the game out by casting Invis on an enemy, Sketching and then quickly running away. I don't think it always works, and I seem to remember that there's a small chance it can corrupt your savefiles, but if it works properly it's supposed to max your items out at least. Not sure about levels, but it loaded up your inventory.

AJ, I demand to know HOW. I don't disbelieve, I ENVY.

There's another glitch - probably the most known - where you use Sketch on Gau, and get TONS of items, including Gem Boxes and Economizers. Unfortunately, it might discard some items, and Sketch becomes glitchy now and then from that point on. I never tried the invis one, but it sounds just like the Gau glitch.

Ooh! Ooh! I've got one! Who's heard of the "Psycho Cyan" bug?

For those of you who haven't, here's what you do:
1) Enter a battle with Cyan in your party.
2) Have Cyan use Retort, the second SwdTech ability.
3) Cast Imp on him.
4) Kill the Imped Cyan.
5) Revive him.
6) Either have someone "Fight," or wait for an enemy to do so.

If all goes according to plan, Cyan should leap into action and keep attacking until every enemy is dead. From what I've read, it's a combination of two bugs. The first is that, while an Imp, Cyan will counter with a normal attack instead of the super-strength Retort move. Since he didn't actually use Retort, he will continue to counter every attack thrown at him. The second bug is that after he dies and is revived, the game gets confused and Cyan will counter every attack thrown by either side, regardless of who attacked or was hit. Combine these, and Cyan will counter his own attack continuously and ceaselessly strike at the enemy until there's nothing hostile left to attack. I've tried it with both the SNES FF3 and the PS1 Anthology FF6, and it worked each time.

By the way: Silver Rose, just so you know, direct links to walkthroughs on GameFAQs don't work.

It works if you click-drag the link to your address bar though. So do that, kiddies.
