What the hell is wrong with these people?! We just got over hearing about one psycho who killed a woman, sliced open her very pregnant womb, and stole her baby to claim it as her own....

I cannot, for the life of me, understand this. Theft of certain commodities is one thing. Murder is one thing. But murder to steal a baby who clearly would appear to not be yours? What is wrong with this picture?

They're both insane. Completely and utterly insane. Not even regular rage can possibly justify or explain an action as completely barbaric as that.

Clearly these women have some psychological problem that makes them desire to be mothers, or to care about something as special as a child, or more likely to show it off. Some people have been known to desire things that other people have merely for the pettiest of reasons, and go at great lengths to steal them.

Hopefully the mother will survive this one. Wonder if this new would-be baby snatcher got the idea from the first one.

Alright. Honestly, the people who would do this sort of thing are absolutely insane. This can't be debated. Is there even any apparent motive? I'm entirely sure why, but it seems somehow less nuts if there's at least some long history of hatred between the victim and the perpetrator, or something, anything. I think I just feel like there should be a causality to the event, that such terrible things should not happen entirely at random. There should be some reason, my mind keeps thinking, even if it's complete and utter bullshit.

That said, the act is inhuman. Certainly, commendations are in order for the teenager. I would typically feel a sense of loss or remorse at the killing of another person, but looking at the story as it's laid out, I'm honestly wondering if, were I able to piece together what was happening and were the means available, I wouldn't try to kill the deranged thing on the spot, on the basis it's too dangerous and insane to be left alive.

Understanding? Useful only to criminal pathologists, investigators, and the like. All I personally care for is that society cannot allow this to happen.

these people are, in the classical definition, are psycopathic. They lack the ability to tell the difference between right and wrong, often lacking even basic social skills. They are very Ill people, they are just ill. They need treatment. They are more...retarded than criminal. I don't know if that is the correct moniker, but they are certifiable as insane.

That's just insane. Well I'm glad my aunt treats her dog as children and is a theacher. Other wise she may go around stealing babies.

While surely these people have lost all sense of humanity, and their demoniac natures need to be removed fromsociety, what amazes me is that this is somehow seen as worse than any other type of murder. Is it better for a man in New Orleans to shoot his sister in the face over a loaf of bread or two people to kill each other and their friends because one wears a red bandanna and the other a blue one? Is it better to heartily support killing any life of any type so that we may enjoy a certain taste at dinner? Life is life, and the ending of it should only be done as a last resort for our own survival - minimal harm in eating, for none can eat without killing (unless you're a plant, in which case kudos on learning internet use...and the ability to see), defense either personally or nationally, etc.

An interesting analogy from India. In India they having pigs roaming free in some places - a very dirty animal (pig lovers out there, forgive me - I simply speak what I have seen). They prefer to eat feces as their natural food...no really! I have seen them pass by relatively untouched plates of food to go eat feces lying in an open sewer. However, the pig dos not like just any type of feces, they prefer a nice, fresh, steaming pile. Wet feces are much better - to them - than th other dry feces.

Wet shit...dry shit...those with a little more awareness can just look at both and go, "I want no part of either."

Psychopathic murder over a baby, or territorial murder for a gang, or for greed, or in a rage, or to have meat on my table...it's all murder and I hope that one day people will be able to say I want no part of any it. Most have already, yes, but there are many that haven't.

I'm thinking about turing to vegetarian mainly becuase it's healthier.

You kill someone for a loaf of bread when you're starving. Fine. You were hungry. You needed food. You got food. It's still horrible, but at least there's a motive that people can understand.

You carve your next door neighbor's stomach open to steal their baby when you weren't even pregnant, and you know what, there's no way you're going to keep that child. There's no sane motive at all. You gain nothing. It's murder for no REAL reason.

Then you have the fact that you're both killing the mother and hurting a baby.

Beyond that it's a very very slow and painful way to kill the mother, both physically and emotionally. She doesn't just die, she bleeds out with a gaping hole in her stomach, while watching her child get stolen from her by the woman who just stabbed her.

AND, it's taking a woman from her normal and, presumably, happy family.

Most murders aren't slow and painful. Most murders have a motive that can be identified with on some level. Most murders just... aren't this. This wasn't most murders. This was something far beyond it.

The world isn't black and white, it's all shades of grey. Would you consider murdering to protect one's family from a murderer on the same level as cutting a woman open and stealing her child?

I mean heck, you can say all creatures are equal, but even then I'd draw a line between the people who do what they have to do to get through a winter trapped in a mountain pass and the guy who thinks mmmm, nothing tastier than a slow roasted leg of person!

Personally I like to think of it as lots and lots of extremely fine individual bits of black and white mixed together in varying concentrations, but that's neither here nor there.
