It also stars a black person--nay, multiple black people. Definitely not from Japan.

From my foolish thread in general:

Quote:

I read the comic off and on, but I always thought it was brilliant--and now there's a show on Adult Swim.

Well, I downloaded it, and I'm pleasantly surprised--it's great.

My favorite part was when they're at the rich party and the white woman whispers to the other white woman, "I think the n word is okay if they say it," and start clapping. I must show my madre.

Anyone else seen it? Thoughts?
Also, I like the totally fucked up drug analogy.

Quote:

The dude likes cheese like a crack-head likes herion.
Yes, my friends--not only do crack heads, contrary to popular belief, not smoke crack, but mainline dope, they use a special kind: herion. Sometimes spelled Harry-on, Harry, or just the big H-H. Yes, I love my crack heads who like heroin, my potheads who love speed, and my shroom heads who love alcohol. Unless he's speedballing (which would be with just straight coke anyway), t'ain't no sense in the analogy.

Yeah, I'm way too anal about this shit. *shrugs and mumbles about lack of drug education*

ps: the author is definitely not racist. Ever seen All in the Family? When will people learn that the characters writers create != the writers?

I don't understand the analogy myself. He described his addiction that way while snorting pramesan; I just wrote it down.

PS: herion-head sounds stupid.

Also from the other thread ---

Finally... a new show on Adult-Swim with humor that is actually "witty" and has some semblance of "intelligence" backing it up...

... *coughsquidbillies12ozmousecough*

It'll probably be my third favourite non-anime original show on their network (first being Venture Brothers, second being Aqua Teen Hunger Force)... of course, only one episode has been aired, but my expectations were (and still are) quite high.

I look forward to a long life for the Boondocks...

Well, that's probably why they call them junkies. Or you can go with smack-head.

"Are you aware of the extent to which niggas love R. Kelly?"

I have to say, this episode was definately a good follow up to the premiere. It looks like this series will not disappoint.

They had Mr. DuBois! In the second episode! Jazmine too, but she didn't have a speaking part and I just don't like her as much as her dad. DuBois had a great storyline last christmas (right before Ruckus as a mall Santa), and it's great to see him so soon. It's like... they actually let Aaron McGruder have control of the series. That's unheard of, isn't it? Letting the creator of a comic control the cartoon? Craziness.

Now where's Ceasar?

This is oficially the best show ever in my book, I will now and forever more refer to Huey as
Clarence Bernard James Louis Anderson the 3rd
because he is me, end of story

here's something cool i found while i was kinda bored..

anyway, i found out that the white soldier who was fighting in iraq was voiced by Charlie Murphy of Chappelle's show. It was the guy who was shot by Riley in the "Garden Party" episode. another cool thing i found was the fact that Charlie Murphy is actually Eddie Murphy's brother!

didnt know that..

Ooooh, this won't end well for me.

I was watching the Boondocks with a few of my friends, one of them being black. Now, we were beginning to feel uncomfortable, but he was getting angry.

He was upset that this show comes off saying that black people are better than white people, and then they go and show an episode that shows how biased black people can be.

Yeah, I'm going to be careful about what I say for the next few weeks.

One name: Adam West.

"America urinated on R. Kelly!"

HAHAHAHAHAHA!
