Drak walked over, and grabbed the shaking Suzume at the knees, throwing him into a shoulder carry.
"You're too weak to keep this up. And please don't complain about the position. Really." |
Blue Kimono (Kiyomi Matsuraba)
Kiyomi's machine kneeled and the girl jumped down from the cockpit, leaping from the torso to the right arm, to the right knee joint, and finally to the ground. She was armed with her spear and seemed pretty relieved to have found Kurama so soon. "I'm sure it's not so bizarre. I think there will be more than just us who will seek you out because of this...problem we all seem to be having." The girl in the blue kimono took up her spear and stuck it into the ground, then spread her arms and opened her hands, indicating that she wasn't going to be hostile. "We were going to use your friend there to help us find you, Genkai-san," Kiyomi admitted, indicating the released Suzume. "So, you can imagine how happy I am to have found you without even having to go through him. A friend of mine thought you would know something about the degeneration of magic that's going on, and I'd like to go with you if it would help us learn how we might stop it...I think." |
Koyuki strode out last, slowly knocking aside a large rock that had shifted closeby with her arm. Upon seeing Kiyomi, the demon rolled her eyes, that in a simple hunt, she'd managed to find both Kurama, *and* the Kimonos. Luckily, they seemed geuninely concerned about the destruction of magic.
"Kiyomi." Koyuki said, nodding at the woman, "Our goals are the same. If you have a plan, I'd like to hear it." |
Raze whipped around.
"Destruction of what!?!" he asked with such quickness that the words filled the place completely and abruptly causing those who "heard" it to have a slight headache. (In other words, no '...') |
Blue Kimono (Kiyomi Matsuraba)
Kiyomi thought for a moment. Were their goals the same? Kiyomi, as well as the others, had no clue what stance to take on the degeneration of magic. It didn't make Kurama, Koyuki, or anyone else an ally, but it didn't make them an enemy. Mutual benefactors, perhaps? Kiyomi decided not to think on it for now. "It's difficult to explain. Mika would know how best to explain it. She's the youngest of us, wears a yellow kimono, and commands those weird repilian monsters that use huge maces and turn invisible. But she told me to talk to Kurama about the 'Light Kami.' From what Mika said, they have a link to the creation of the Raigaki and might help us understand the degeneration of magic problem. So, I'm here to talk to Kurama about it." |
"The Light Kami, huh? Well, what exactly is it you want to know? I can't honestly say I know much about it myself."
Kurama had sheathed his blade, but he could still feel the warmth that eminated from the sword. He had begun to feel the cold, and though they were somewhat sheltered by a rocky overpass, a few flakes of snow managed to sneak through. "Do you all mind if we take this somewhere warmer?" Kurama reached down to the small bag hanging from his cloth belt, and pulled out another cylinder, only longer than the explosive and with a string on the end. He pointed the cylinder to the sky, and pulled hard on the string. A loud whistling sound was heard as a small firework launched from the cylinder and rocketed up into the air. Once it hit its peak, it exploded into a show of fancy color and fire. Then they waited a few minutes. It came slowly at first, but eventually the sound of propellors grew louder. The airship flew down from the clouds above, and nestled itself in the snow nearby. A large panel opened on the side, and an old man walked out. It was Takin, and though it had only been two years, he seemed older than he should. The old inventor yelled out in his usual cynical way. "Hurry up, the heat is getting out." |
(OOC: Not only did i manage to fix my computer, but I managed to win a demo of Dragonquest VIII! Kickass!)
If Raze still had a jaw, it would have dropped. First talk of magic's destruction, and then a strange ship falls from the sky after fireworks? This was apparently of great importance, but Raze didn't know whether or not it concerned him. He had only just met this "Kurama" and didn't want to be intrusive. Or have to devour his soul after recieving his help. But if magic was being destroyed, it would explain an awful lot why the seal on the entity seemed to be failing. If the magic that held it at bay was weakening, then the entity could more easily escape. No matter how many sacred items Raze put in front of it, it could eventually overwhelm them and escape. If magic were restored however, considering the current stash of stuff in front of the door, then the entity would never be able to escape. "...May I join you for this...Chat?..." |
Drak ghosted onto the ship.
"Takin, my old pal buddy buddy. How have the times been treating you?" |
((Err, didn't Kiyomi just say they wanted Kurama's help to stop the degeneration? Well, that's Koyuki's goal too, so I don't see what the indecision is about. Unless the Kimonos are on the fence. Again.))
Koyuki glanced to Kurama. "I don't think you'll be wanting my help anymore, Genkai." She said with a growl in her voice, in certain distaste of Kurama's "show of power" with Takin's airship suddenly appearing from the sky. A wordless nod to Kiyomi, and the ronin turned to leave. She didn't want to overstay her welcome, despite the certain sweet shock it would have on Takin. "Hrmph." Koyuki thought, "I'll deal with this myself then, and they'd better not get in my way." ((Unless you'd rather convince me to join your party, but I've really no reason why Koyuki would offer that after your earlier statement. Kiyomi seems to only be interested in Kurama, anyway.)) |
Joukei blinked at Koyuki's comment, the man a little bit surprised that she would leave so suddenly. "Hey, hey! I guessing you two haven't gotten along, but that doesn't mean that you should be running off by yourself. There's a lot of dangerous stuff around here-I met a rock demon that still probably thrashing inside that maze, who knows if it might come down for you?!"
Besides, he admitted to himself. Kurama spends way too much time around just guys. What were they all doing together all those years? |
