Yeesh, another Mega Man sprite comic. No offense, but you've violated several of the guidelines most people should follow when doing sprite comics.

Author Insertion = annoying.
Author Reference = annoying.
Characters bitching about storyline = annoying/unprofessional/makes me think YOU don't like the story. If YOU don't like it, why should anyone else?
Jokes that always end with "aw crap" or "I hate you" or the like = bad if overused.
Nonexistant/loose/pointless plot = bad if you don't have a comic like Perry Bible Fellowship or The Far Side.

But you do seem fairly dedicated to it, and keep it going, so that could compensate. There's just nothing in it to keep me reading.

I try

well like i said, im trying.......funny thing is that i try to stay away from overused things, which is why i dont read other comics, anymore, cuz then i can't come up with my own.......but i'll try to not do those taboos anymore....

Reading other comics is the best way to learn the craft. And you'd have to be some kind of genius to possess a self-fueled imagination, especially one that doesn't unknowingly repeat others' ideas.

Remember that guy who spent 30 years in seclusion and invented the steam engine? When he got to the patent office there was already combustion engines on the street.

You forgot Dominic Deegan and Comedity.

Man, this sucks. I don't mean to be an ass or anything, but this guy got 6 replies since I posted my comic topic, which was actually an original concept using a medium much rarer than a B&G clone sprite comic, and somewhat professionally done, and I get nothing. Nada. Fuck all.

I don't get this logic. Surely if my comic isn't good enough to comment on, it must be in need of some criticism at least?

This isn't the first time I've seen this happen though.
