Liriel Baenre from Daughter of the Drow is pretty good. That or Catti-Brie Battlehammer...

Raiden 01-09-2004 06:18 PM

Well, I'm going to be setting up the beginning thread right now. When she has her character and everything, she can put it up here, and I'll find some way to bring her into the story.

Dante 01-09-2004 06:29 PM

Actuslly, why not have DS be the villain and use Dragon Prince Larz-Ulu as the hero?

Raiden 01-09-2004 06:31 PM

Well, whichever one you would rather play as. Remember, we'll most likely be destroying the villians at the end. Which means you're gonna have to find a way to destroy DS for good. I don't care how you do it, but you're gonna have to think of it.

Killing Torak, again, will be hard. He is a god after all. upside is no Angarak's to worship him, but he's probably managed a cult by now.

Forever Zero 01-09-2004 06:44 PM

Well, final battles should be hard, just not impossible. Also, I assume our villians would either bring average footsoldiers with them, would get more when the arrived in the real world, or use their books and the Book Hero making device to just crank out an army of henchmen and lesser evil heros.

You could just seal him away into a kid's body...

Raiden 01-09-2004 07:20 PM

The thread is up! And I included some henchmen creatures. You'll find out about them in the first post.

Squishy Cheeks 01-09-2004 07:26 PM

Can the villains also have human followers?

Raiden 01-09-2004 07:30 PM

Maybe. I don't see why not. It's just that the Kattos are going to be doing most of the fighting. Any humans that follow them won't do much in the fighting department.

Squishy Cheeks 01-09-2004 07:44 PM

Well Torak as a religious leader would want followers. Also his religion involves the sacrificing of human hearts to a fire. He grants his priests the ability to use sorcery as a boon. They'd be easy to spot since they look like Doctor Doom. Torak took to wearing a metal mask to hide his burned face and his followers emulate him.

Name: Katla Arensen

Book Title: Sorcery Rising (the Fool's Gold series)

Villain: Tycho Issan, a rich, evil, and thoroughly unlikeable guy with all the morals of a guppy. Also a devotee of some female god that supports various bad and evil things. Katla accidentally killed his eldest son and then ran off with his "blasphemous" younger son and his eldest son's (former) wife. He has lots of evil, dull-witted, muscle-bound henchmen. And the kind of connections that many very rich individuals have. There's actually more to the whole thing, but I wouldn't want to spoil the book for anyone.

Appearance: tall, tanned, and slim, with relatively short and spiky hair (flame red) that she keeps out of her eyes with a bandanna. well-muscled arms and legs.

Weapons: Sword and a dagger, or two daggers, or whatever comes to hand. All her steel weapons would be made by her own hand, and are perfectly balanced and possibly imbued with magic, although it would be magic that she definitely doesn't understand.

Personality: Outspoken, rebellious, scornful of those set in their ways, and generally very wild. too curious for her own good, and she can't turn down an interesting challenge. more stubborn than granite.

Skills: expert sword-forger and street-fighter. a strange (read: magical/mystical) affinity for rocks, leading to an excellence at rock-climbing, and avoiding cave-ins. comes from a merchant clan, so very good at bargaining, and, coincidentally, picking pockets. heh.

Extra: this is Katla from the first book, and i read that quite a while ago, so there might be some innacuracies. this is how i remember it, at least. and, in the book, most of the primary conflict (before she killed his son) between Katla and Tycho derives from the fact that there is a long-seated hatred between their respective cultures. Tycho's folk consider Katla's barbarians and sub-human, and Katla's think Tycho's are arrogant, silly, and hate the fact that they managed to drive them from their homeland.

Name: Tianna
Book Title: Daughters of the Moon (it's a series, she first appears in: "The lost one")
Villain: Stanton- He is one of the leaders of the Antrox, Has the power to get into your mind and read it if you can't mentally block him. If you stare into his eyes, he will take all of your hope.
Appearance: Jet black hair... well, basically, look at the attachment, I know it's small, but it should help.
Weapons: Telekinesis
Items: A moon amulet that starts glowing when there is danger nearby.
Personality: Is fairly confident in herself, and will do whatever is necissary to help her friends.
Skills: She has the power of telekinesis. If she uses it too much, she spaces out and gets sent to the "other realm", her body stays in the real world though, but whatever she would do in the other realm, her body would do in the real world: Ai, if she ran away from the darkness in the other realm, she would start running around randomly in the real world. To bring her back, a person in the real world would have to touch her and talk to her or something to bring her back.
Extra: Her power is extra strong when there is a full moon out, but also, it is much weaker when there is no moon out, or an eclipse. Also, it works vice-versa for Stanton's powers. And his eyes also glow an unnatural yellow in the light of a full moon.

Alright, I just read that book saturday. ^_^ I hope this character is alright.
