Hey! Do NOT diss Perfect dark Zero! I've waited for 3 years for that fuggin game to come out!

That said, I'm letting my cousin waste his money on a 360, and I'll buy him Perfect dark Zero for his birthday, whilst I buy a PS3.

VIVA LA PS3!!!

Here's a question!

Do you think that the 360 is being released a bit too early? I mean, when a console comes out almost a year before its competetors, it seems to become tired and outdated rather quickly... *COUGHdreamcastCOUGH*

With that said, the launch games for all the consoles of this last generation did not "wow" anybody, and does not determine the success of the console. Just remember the PS2's launch.

*shudders*

I will say, however, that the 360 has a rather solid launch regardless of the fact that most of the games were already released on the PC, and I might even be envious of someone who is shortsighted [or rich] enough to buy one right away.

Yeah, but the PS2 was launched before the Xbox or the GameCube came out, and that had Sony firmly entrenched and with a good selection of games before the other two even launched.

But, yeah, it's a gamble. It worked for Sony with the PS2, but it backfired on Sega and the Dreamcast.

Meh, whatever. Xbox 1's lineup wasn't so hot, featuring only Project Gotham Racing and Halo as the games worth picking up. This one has PDZ, Quake 4 and Call of Duty 2 to make up for not having Halo. ANd there's another PGR, too.

I never really got that excited about the Xbox 360. Call me Lockownzj00, but I really just want the Revolution; it's remote-plug attatchment, backwards compatability, and retro gaming is sexier than hell.

But the PS2 makes me want some sweet, sweet Devil May Cry 4 lovin.

Either way, the Xbox isn't a part of it.

Living Bobbeh 11-16-2005 02:55 PM

I want a X360 more than a Ps3, just simply to get away from RPGs. I never want to play another RPG in my life, and basicly every other game on the Ps3 is an RPG. I want to shoot/stab/burn someone, not tell someone else to do it than miss because of some stat.

And I'm not going to miss out on much anyway. There's Devil May Cry that I might miss but there's Ninja Gaiden, which is basicly Devil May Cry but with ninjas. Ninjas>Gothic Castles.
And Metal Gear Solid which if I couldn't be bothered with the third one, I'm not going to bother with the fourth. Gran Tourismo which can be replaced with Project Gothem and Perfect Dark Zero kicks Killzone's arse everyday of the week.

The Ps2's online service was , puting it bluntly, crap. It took an age to log in to each game, hardly any of them supported headsets, only three or four games ever had lots of player and you don't have the abilty to download new content or persistant friends lists.

Goodbye Playstation, you've done well these past two generations, but the Xbox knows how to make games more enjoyable.

While I must say I love perfect dark, I must also say I'm getting a PS3 and a Revolution, then I'm going to see if I can fashion them into a bizzare PSREVOLUTION in the distant future.

Viva la PS3!

The Xbox 360's early release actually opens many opportunities for Sony and Nintendo. Not only do they get to size up the Xbox earlier (Oh, it can only do that? Let's do better!) but it gives them more time to make their systems better and cooler. The 360 could just beconsidered the first step into the future of nextgen consoles, but the next step will be higher step up than the first. (I hope I said that understandably...I hope I spelled understandably well....)

Hisssssssssss... SINNER!

Okay, shifting out of 'fanboy mode' (which I often do when DMC is mentioned), God of War, Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry, hell, even Evil Dead are all completely different games, so, to be fair, you really can't say "Well Ninja Gaiden is better." They're different.

But I'm a fanboy, so carrying on.

Well yes, it was. Hopefully we're going to have something better this time around. The PS3 already agreed that online content was important, and even despite the looming lack of a universal online dashboard it looks more promising this time around.

Trust me, they've been releasing and retracting statements about the PS3 for a while now, I'm not sure if anyone really knows what WILL and WON'T be on it.
