Mauve clapped her hands over her ears as the siren screamed through the halls. Ben was saying something, but she couldn't hear much of it over the moans of the undead.

"What?" she yelled, but at that moment Ben hurtled out the door, table leaf in front of him like a battering ram. Well... that works too...

Decomposing faces turned in their direction. Mauve tried to remember to breathe. She had never been a screamer; her "alarm noise" was usually a frantic half-whisper of "ohshitohshitohshit!!!" But at that moment she couldn't even let out a single obscenity.

Undead people eat you lotsa pain turn into zombie not fun run you stupid idiot! Ah yes, the ever-eloquent inner voice had returned, shaking her from her frozen panic.

"Come on!" she yelled over the siren and started running after Ben.

"Those Bastards left me, they just up and ran the fuck out.
WELL THATS OKAY FORGET YOU GUYS!" he went and got his bag which really had nothing usefull short of a lighter, but it did have all his candy, he pulled out a sucker, unwrapped it, and stuck it in his mouth. His mind was running a mile a minute and he
could'nt focus so he"Tapped" himself in the head with his club-type-thing
heard a loud clicking sound and was relieved to find his long metal pick secured in his
prodigous Fro, now he had a stabbing implement, securing his bucket hat, he
decided to find this "Mc-something" hall. He ran down the corridors past lots of "dead" bodies, to make sure they were'nt "Kinda" dead he stood back and poked at them with his stick then bolted down in the direction fo screaming voices as if that was a good idea he soon caught up with the crew while Ecurt was swinging an X-box contoller at a pack of zombies,
"Dammit, I'm tired of playing around with ya'll" Clarence lost it, or most of it and started swinging his club madly at anything he could reach.

Jack followed Ben and Mauve out of the dorm building, which was quickly becoming full of curious zombies drawn to the wailing siren.

He kept pace with the others as they jogged towards Mcrae Hall. Suddenly he skid to a stop.

"Oh wait, hold on!" he said, changing his direction to the parking lot a few yards away. He jogged over to a white Honda and stopped. A large semi-truck had plowed itself into the front of the vehicle, and the truck driver was clearly dead and hanging out his window. Jack was obviously upset about this. "Dammit, my car! Of all the cars in this lot, the bastard had to wreck mine."

He shook his head and held the remote out. The trunk popped open and he began fishing inside. A moment later he reappeared holding a Louisville Slugger and a pack of smokes. He held the coffin-nails in the air triumpantly and promptly lit one up.

"Alright, now we can go."

Ben was about to ask Jack not to light up around him...but then thought better of it.

Given the situation, Ben thought grimly to himself, I don't think I really have to worry about dying from second-hand smoke.

Still, it was annoying to have to inhale the smoke as he gasped for air.

As such, Ben had to make some sort of comment. He looked at Jack and put a half-smile on his face. "Those will kill ya, you know." Ben said. "Assuming the zombies don't, first, of course."

Psycho Mantis 11-21-2005 04:32 PM

Jack struggled to run, smoke, and reply at the same time."You think the zombies are bad? You should see me when I havent had my smokes..." he wheezed.

At any rate, he remembered the cheerleader with the half-eaten head. Dying from these things might actually be preferable to what those the zombies would do to me, he thought to himself.

He was getting close enough to the hall to see Ecurt whirling his X-box controller while Clarence fought the zombies with his club. From here it looked like others had arrived as well, although he couldnt pick them out at the distance.

"Looks like we better get a move on or we're gonna miss out on the action."

Sean the Pirate 11-21-2005 05:01 PM

Sean looked around. It was a bright and beautiful morning, the sky had been swept clean of clouds, and the entire campus seemed to be bathed in warm golden sunlight. Which was odd, really, since the weather report had been full of nothing but rain and threats of thunderstorms.

The window he had broken out of had been facing the back of the dormitory. It was a nice, quiet spot with a few trees and some greenery--mercifully empty of undead horrors. A bright red stain on the grass, however, suggested that perhaps it had not always been so.

"Hmm." Sean brandished his refrigerator handle. It was quiet out here, much too quiet. No birds, other animals or even distant traffic could be heard. No sign of life, human or otherwise.

Of course, it was hard to tell, what with that damn siren and all. "What the hell is that, a fire alarm?" Far ahead of him, a figure shambled through the shadow of one of the buildings, heading for the front of the dormitory. It didn't seem to notice him, and he exhaled in relief. "Whoever set off that alarm must be either a genius or the king of idiots. Every zombie in hearing distance will be heading towards that damn noise. Not to mention the fire department. If there still is one."

Keeping a watchful eye in case a zombie tried to sneak up on him, Sean surveyed his surroundings. "Well, there's a parking lot over there to the left... but it looks like it's covered with thick smoke, and I didn't bring my car anyway." He looked to the right. Sure enough, there it was. "That must be McFlavin Hall up there on that hill... weren't we supposed to regroup there, or something? Sounds a good enough plan as any, I guess."

Length of steel handle at the ready, he started off towards the building, careful to stay in the open and keep a good distance away from any potential lurking places.

"Battling zombies with nothing more than common household items and our wits at our disposal appeals to you? Are you nuts?!" Alex, too, disapproved of having to put up with the smoke, but chose not to complain about it; he had other, more pressing concerns on his mind. "Though, in a way, you're right; we should meet up with the others as soon as possible."
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a zombie that had noticed him and was headed in his direction. "Not cool... not cool..." He started trembling again. Breathing heavily, he rushed toward it, whacked it repeatedly in a fear-crazed frenzy, then ran back to the group and fell to his knees. "S-Some days it j-just doesn't p-pay to get out of b-bed..." he stammered.

Squeezing out of the window behind Sean, Sam picked up her sweatshirt, shook it free of any wayward glass shards and pulled it back on. Resituating her wallet and X-Box controller in her hands, she looked around. The courtyard was surprisingly zombie-free but rather loud, as someone had somehow set off the fire alarm.

Looking around, slightly panicked to find herself so alone, she searched for someone, anyone that had been in the dorm room, but the only one she could see was Sean, a retreating figure headed for a tall building not too far off. "Sean!" she yelled, running towards him. "Wait up!" He didn't appear to hear her, but a zombie in boxers and a wifebeater apparently had, as he came around the corner of the building, away from where the alarm was going off.

"Heh," she said, staring at it, before her brain kicked in and she ran as fast as she could towards Sean, grabbing his arm when she reached him and continuing to run.

Cloud Strife 11-21-2005 07:41 PM

Jarod was holding his 'club' much like a sword, swinging it around and constantly jamming the end into the gut of zombies, knocking them back over and over again. "Just. Stay. Dowm. Dammit!" Ina flash of anger, he swung hard at a nearby zombie - and his club connected with the back of the zombie's neck. A crack was heard, and the zombie collapsed. It looked up at him with blank eyes, and gnashed its teeth at Jarod, but the rest of its body was limp. He stared for only a moment, stopping the fight. Wh... what have I done... They were zombies, sure, but he had just snapped someone's neck. He nearly lost his club as his grip started to slack, when the siren went off, and he looked up in time to see a zombie reaching to grab him. He couldn't dodge in time, or swing, so he instinctively grabbed the zombie by the arms and used the zombie's momentum to his advantage, falling backwards and curling his legs under him. As he continued to somersault back, he planted his feet on the torso of the zombie, and pushed with all his might, launching the zombie up and behind him. Jarod landed on his stomach, and he grunted, then quickly got up, and ran through the gap to the others, helping them to clear away the zombies as best he could, without providing great injury to any of the zombies.

Raiden 11-21-2005 10:33 PM

Tom watched as Jarod made a run for the building, trying to not severely harm the zombies as he ran.

"Hmph. We're surrounded by zombies that care about nothing more than killing and eating us, and he's worried about hurting them? Huh, weird."

Thomas currently had a zombie in an arm lock. The zombie was trying to move, but it wasn't being too successful about it.

"Well, it's been fun, but I better meet up with the others."

Thomas pushed hard on the zombie, and it was thrown to the ground. It may not be dead, but with two broken legs, it sure as hell wasn't going to be standing up. Thomas turned and began to run in the direction of the meeting place, leaving a pile of corpses behind him.
