Gin leapt from the flames surprising Cid. His Katana raised. Cid blocked the sword but failed to notice the wakizashi cutting into the straps around his knee. The knee plate flaped away and Gin angled attack around Cid's shield was blocked by Cid's sword.

Kalimare looked over and saw the others were still struggling. Even if he were to find Dawn, it wouldn't help the others if she couldn't do something to destroy them. But even so, he could let Dawn stay missing for long. It was quite the predicament for him. On one hand, stay and help the others with his knowledge on how to beat them, or, go find Dawn so that they will stay alive longer. In any case, he would have to eventually help them, so he looked around the castle from above to see if Dawn was outside anywhere. Kalimare looked down and saw her, at least, what he hoped was her, with some creature with a tail. Kalimare jumped and landed on a ledge below, and saw some soldiers coming after him. He let out a roar to scare them for only a moment, then continued jumping down the castle sides.

"Hey Kalimare, hows the whole Cid thing going?" Jude said, setting down beside Kalimare, who seemed put off and absorbed with something else. Jude followed his eyes, then saw Dawn.

"Hey, Dawn, whats going on...why is she tied up...whose the guy with the tail...HEY, GET AWAY FROM HER!" Jude said, putting two and two together and flying down to their level, wings flared and wind blowing in his wake.

He landed, then went over to untie Dawn, when a tail came out of nowhere and smacked him on the face, sending him sprawling.

He recovered, then drew his spear.

"Jude, watch out!" Dawn shut her eyes as he was hit by the tail and slung away from her. Once again she tried to struggle against her boundings, without any luck.

She opened her eyes again, looking towards Jude as he got ready to fight. "He's working with Cid, and trying to keep the others from killing him.."

"I know who he is...eer, well, I don't know who he is exactly, but I do know that he killed my father, and if he's helping Cid and capturing you, thats just more reason to kill him."

Ark had his sword double-handed. In between pants he managed to say, "Has *ching* anyone *swords meeting again* seen *sliding sword noise* Dawn? *sword sound of entering flesh*"

"Kill me?"

The lizardman grinned that ugly grin again, and withdrew a broken spearhead from his black cloak, then tossed it aside, at Dawn.

"Then you sshall join him... Like father, like sson... And she will watch..."

It fell back into a half-crouch, hands out in a martial stance.

Gin and Cid continued their fight but both were showing signs of fatigue. Soon one of them would make a mistake.

"Ack!" Dawn hopped slightly to the side as the lizardman tossed the spearhead towards her. Grrrr... was he trying to hit me with that? She thought to herself, then heard him say something about her watching Jude die. I guess not... but...

She stared at the spearhead for a moment, then got a great idea. All she would have to do is just scoot back over to the sharp spearhead. After that, she should be able to cut herself free, just so long as the lizardman didn't notice.

(OOC: We can't really do much else but watch Dante and BM fight until Celes gets here.)
