OOC: I think Lynx's reaction is the funniest thing I've seen in any RP ever...

Vace was in shock at what Cid had done, but he threw off any thought other then hate and vengence against Cid for all of his crimes, including this one. He drew his sword and said, "This is one more crime that Cid has to pay for. It is finally time to end this, once and for all." He fully charged his sword and said, "Cid, it is time for you to pay for your crimes once and for all!" Then he prepared for Ark and Tama so the three could rush Cid.

Ark spared a look over at Gin. "Mental note to self. When you get down there, cover that mess with the cape."

He got a safe distance away from the battlements. "Right. Cid? I'll skip that stuff. I hate you. A lot of people hate. Killing you is going to be one of the best moments of my life. And without further adieu..."

He brought his sword up into a ready position. "Does anyone else feel guilty we're going to kill someone who's unarmed?"

Vace said, "I would, if it wasn't Cid, and if Cid didn't have a massive arsenal of fire magic to use on us."

"Unarmed? I'm never Unarmed." He swiped his hand blasting a wave of fire at his attackers.

Vace threw an arm up and took the fire on his armor, which became uncomfortably warm. Then he advanced on Cid, cautiously, to reach melee range.

ooc: Think Pyro. I have to read some required reading.

(OOC: We'll keep Cid busy until Celes gets back.)

"I don't care if you have weapons or magic, Cid! We'll make sure that you'll never live to see the morning light!" Tamakatari wielded his katana and his flail. He spun the flail around his head, and launched it towards Cid. Cid flung a ball of fire at him. Tamakatari dodged, and dropped his flail. The weapon fall over the wall and onto Gin's dead corpse.

"Well, that sucks."

(OOC: *bows* Sorry I've been gone for so long at such an inconvienient time... I wasn't PLANNING on being gone this long... but that's how things work. Alright, So I'll get to work on what's gonna happen with Cid, a'ight? And I didn't bother to read through all of the arguing.)

"I could just blow him up..." Surronding Lynx's hands were two large, glowing orbs that had black and white spots flashing inside of them. "I need to get rid of this before it blows me up..."

"Don't shoot it over here! You'll get us too! Throw it down at Gin, I'm sure he won't mind anymore."

Vace came at Cid, wielding his great sword, but Cid dodged to the side and shot a jet of flame at Vace. Vace jumped back to dodge it, but Cid followed his attack with a wave of fireballs at Vace and the others to force them back.

OOC: STOP!!! It's Celes' turn.

Ark crossed his arms as he spun, unleashing a series of cuts that would've killed him had he not had the shield. And the backup would've worked....if he hadn't punched him.

Cid popped off a fire attack that hit Ark and burnt his cape a bit. The water put it out. However the cape was much more tattered.

Ark's sword cut across, hit the shield, and the dagger was caught under Cid's armpit. A head-butt knocked Ark reeling back. "Sob..."

OOC: Sorry Jad, had to get one post of fighting in.

Cid stood in the middle of the group. He started to chuckle, soft at first, then it grew louder.
"You fools really think that just because I am unarmed, that you can now defeat me?" He laughed and swung his arm in a large arc, incapacitating them with a large fire-based spell. For some reason, the spell was binding them... holding them fast to where they had been when he cast it. "It amuses me that you would go so far to stop me... to restore your princess to her 'proper' place as the rular of this kingdom." He laughed more, "Even to the point that you would give your very lives, much like your friend Gin did." He turned his awful gaze onto Cesia, who had basically been standing in the center of the group. She stared back at him, not allowing him to see the fear that had filled her body... the fear that was making her tremble, ever so slightly.

"But as much as I would like to kill each of you right now, I think it would be even more enjoyable to kill your precious princess right before your eyes." He then turned his full attention onto Cesia, "Princess," He said casually, "Aren't you honored that all of these fighters would come all of this way, just to help you. They would give their very lives just to see me gone and you restored to your rightful place as princess... no, as queen. Even Gin, my dear brother died, just to unarm me... so that you would all have the chance to kill me."

Cesia's heart sank as she started to recognise his words... his actions.

"What a worthless sacrifice." He sneered, approaching Cesia, "Truely worthless... after all..." Without warning, he lunged forward, wrenching one of the daggers from her hand, "I can take care of you without my sword."

Cesia glanced around frantically, looking for someone... something to help her. The spell was waning, but it wouldn't be gone in enough time... there wasn't enough time.

Cid chuckled, a sound that filled Cesia with fear and dread, "Well, Princess, I believe it's time to cut away the loose end..." He then lunged forward, the dagger arching towards it's target.

Cesia tried to stagger back, but Cid's hand was on her sholder, keeping her from escaping his blade.

Pain...

Time seemed to stop... Cesia gasped for air. It hurt, more than she would have imagined. Her head lulled to the side, and her knees threatened to give out... but she remained standing as long as she could. She took a shakey breath as she tried to give a reassuring smile to the others. Then she closed her eyes, <This is it Cesia.... just do this, for the others.>
She looked back at Cid, she saw his triumphant smile. Cesia then used all the energy she could summon up to swing her hand in a despirate effort to hit Cid, one last time.
Cid didn't pull back, he was too preoccupied to notice one small detail...

The remaining knife in Cesia's hand.

Meanwhile, Cid staggered... The knife had slit into his throat... He grasped at his throat, and then he collapsed onto the ground. He had been careless to ignore the 'harmless' princess' final desperate attack... and it would cost him his life.

Cesia didn't notice that her knife has made contact. All she noticed was Cids hand that had been on her sholder, the one keeping her standing suddenly loosened as Cid staggered back. She fell to her knees, trying to catch her breath...

OOC: May I completely destroy Cid's body now?

ooc: knock yourself out. but remember he's right infront of cesia.

Tamakatari's eyes opened wide, and his mouth fell open.

"NOOOO!" The spell wore off then. But too late. Cid had already attacked Cesia. His angel. He stomped over Cid's body, and grabbed his angel, trying desperately to keep her from falling dead to the ground. In some weird way, he thought that by holding her up, he could keep her alive.

"Selia! Please be all right. Selia."

The spell dissapeared. Ark hit the ground at a dead run, his dagger landing beside him. He skidded to his knees beside her, his sword, glaring painfully bright green beside him.

His eyes instantly caught on the wound. The sword throbbed painfully in his hand. He dropped it as he leaned back, and tore a strand from his cape to use as a compress.

"Cesia, you okay?" The sword ground painfully into his mind. The blade was painful to look at now.

He tried to think of what it wanted. Then he remembered. It was a protecter. It wouldn't heal her, but it would sure as hell hold her there.

He grabbed it, and brought it over. "Hold onto this, and do not let go."

He said, "I'm gonna' find Dawn." He snatched the dagger up, and hit the stairs at a record sprint.

OOC: Where the hell did Cesia get stabbed... And Raiden, he is patheticly in love with the pricness, not Cesia. Princesses name was Selia

Tamakatari took Ark's sword, and placed it in Selia's hands. He didn't know how it would help, but every little thing works.

"Hold on, Selia. We're gonna get Dawn, she'll heal you, and everything will be fine. God, why didn't you wear the Mythril I gave you. Why?! Please, don't leave. I can't lose anyone else. Please..."

(OOC: just FYI. It's Seilen)

Cesia breathed deeply, continuing to catch her breath. She was surprised by Tamakatari's actions. She looked down at where Cid's knife had punctured her cloak, right into her stomach. Even through the dark, she could tell her white cloak wasn't stained with blood. But it still hurt... It was hard to catch her breath. She tried to speak, to tell them that she HAD worn the mythril armor that Tamakatari had made for her; to tell them that she wasn't about to die right after their victory...

OOC: Well now I know where the stab was...

"Just going to leave the dagger in her?" Lynx said, pushing Cid's body down onto the ground., then using his two Ultima orbs to anihalate the body.

"Just relax, Seilen. Ark should be getting Dawn anytime now. Just hold on. Please don't die. I would never forgive myself if you did." Tamakatari turned his head and looked at the group.

"Where the hell is Ark! Ace! Get him to hurry up!" Tamakatari looked back at Seilen. He took the hand that she had holding Ark's sword, and held it tightly. He was almost hugging her now. He had a tear going down his cheek. Many things were going on in his mind.

If anyone is up there. I know I've never prayed before, and honestly, I never expected to. But, if you're there, please, don't let her die on me. Please. Tamakatari looked down at the wound.

"Let's at least try to get the knife out of you." He reached around, but couldn't find the knife sticking from her body.

"What the hell..."

"Um... Tama, your about to shove the dagger in deeper then it already is.." Lynx said, noticing Tama getting closer to the dagger as he kept hugging Cesia.

Ark whirled with his dagger across the guard's throat, caught the flying sword, and slammed it into the gut of another. He ran through the wall, and saw Kalimare with Dawn watching Jude fight.

"Cesia's been stabbed." He picked her up, "You're coming with me." He reversed directions and continued his desperate run.

Tamakatari looked at Lynx.

"How would I know I'm pushing it in deeper? I can't even FIND the damn thing." Tamakatari was looking around. Then, he felt something weird. He felt nothing. His hand should have been wet with blood right now. There was no blood. It was a miracle to not have blood. Which was more than he was expecting.

There really is someone out there. Great, now I gotta start going to church.

OOC: Ugh... Read it wrong..

"Oh, nevermind, it fell out." Lynx said as the dagger let go of the cloth it was stuck to, below the actual stab. Being able to see in the dark, he then noticed something. "She isn't bleeding..."

"Really? When did you figure THAT out? The big question is, why isn't she. Unless it was a nice puncture. Those don't bleed as much." Tamakatari put his hand to where the hole from the dagger was. He felt only metal. A special metal. His hopes rose just a little bit more.

"She got armor on?"

"Wha... what?" Dawn clung on tightly as she was suddenly picked up and pulled away from the fight, and Kalimare as well.

"Cesia's been stabbed?" A look of worried washed on her face as he turned quickly and started back in the other direction. "We've got to hurry then..."

Tamakatari pulled on the metal.

"Yes, she's got armor. The best you can get!" He picked up Seilen, and began to hug her uncontrollably.

"You wore it! I can't believe it, but you wore it!"

Ark shot out of the stairwell like a bat out of hell. He was carrying Dawn.

"Alright Dawn is-TAMA! CESIAHUGWHATDO!?"

"Ugh... Stupid chick, wanting to have a dramatic moment... Never even got stabbed..." Lynx sighed.

Tamakatari started to spin around with Seilen in his arms.

"She's alive! She's alive! SHE'S ALIVE!!"

OOC: Tama's grip slips, and Cesia goes flyin over the edge of the roof, landing on a sword and dieing... Hehe

Dawn blinked a few times. "She's okay... Hey! She's okay!" She smiled, hugging Ark. "Erm.. eheh" She let go, jumping down out of his arms and going over towards Tama. "But what about Cid...? Is he dead?"

(OOC: And then he goes "Well, that sucks. Who's up for burgers?" Then everyone goes to the Burger Cid and has Big Cids, and Tama volunteers to pay for everyone. He then steals Lynx's wallet, and uses Lynx's money to pay.)

Tamakatari nodded his head over to Cid's dead body, still not letting go of Cesia.

(OOC: alright, how many people read that dagger bit awhile back the wrong way?)

"Woah." Cesia managed to get out, now being hugged tightly by Tama was making it twice as hard to breath than before, but she was too busy being completely surprised by Tama's reaction to the thought of her death and even more at his reaction to finding out he's alive. She had never seen him so... happy.

EDIT OOC: Oh I feel so loved, you guys would just go out of BURGERS after I died... :P well... I'd just have to smite you then... since I control the RP, or just make you have really bad burgers. ^_^

He sheathed his dagger, grabbed the sword and sheathed it and said,

"Tama, if you keep that up you'll suffocate her."

He grudgingly put her down so she could catch her breath. At which point Ark hugged her. After stepping away, he raised a finger at her and said, "If you ever, EVER do that to me again, I will kill you." He walked over to a large flag pole. It came down, and he pulled off his cape.

He switched Cid's flag for Cesia's flag, and raised it.

All over the battlefield, troops slowly ground their fighting to a stop as they saw the flag of their supposedly dead princess. It would only be raised if she was alive, or at her funeral. It definetly wasn't her funeral.

Ark stepped back, and held Cid's old flag. "Hey, Lynx. Pull!" He tossed the flag into the air.

OOC: He wants you in the bed, and your falling for it... Typical...

"Now your choking her... Smart move..."

Lynx watched as Ark threw a flag in the air. Then he watched as it slowly glided down, back onto the roof. "What?"

(OOC: IHMN, just shut up and blow up the flag already.)

"Okay, take two. I toss it into the air, you blow it to hell." He bundled up the flag. "Ready? GO!" He tossed it up into the air.

Lynx again watched the flag hit the floor. Lynx went over, picked up the flag, then picked up the knife that was supposed to stab Cesia. Cutting the flag to shreds, he dropped it. "There."

Jude and the lizardman had moved the fighting outside. But as soon as they saw the new flag rise,the lizardman disengaged and leaped back.

"Ssso... Cid iss dead... I never expected thiss..."

He shook his head and sheathed his remaining blade.

"We will ssettle thiss... but not now... Jusst know that you lassted longer than your father..."

With that, the lizardman darted into a nearby bush, and he was gone.

"I hate you. Yet I don't. Still, at least some fireworks for Cid's troops down there? It'll crush their morale..."

Tamakatari had the strong urge to simply hold Cesia. When he thought that she had died, he almost couldn't bear it. Hell, he was PRAYING. It took a lot to make Tamakatari pray, and having Cesia almost die did it. He walked up, and still wanting to hold her, but not holding her against his will, he simply nodded.

"So, you kept it. I thought that I had scared you off last night, and I was afraid that you wouldn't wear it."

"No. I just casted two big spells, *in a whisper* which I didn't use so Gin would die, hehe*, and I'm not going to just so the troops have something pretty to look at. Now, it was a bad idea to toast Cid's body, but it shouldn't be hard enough to prove he is dead."

"Hey, Mr. Madly in love, or lust. I can't tell at the moment..." He jerked his thumb towards the entrance to the stair well. A few horrified looking guards were there.


In one very fluid motion Ark drew both blades. "Bow to your queen or get a whole lot more mouth."

The guards looked very nervous. Ark jerked the dagger towards the flag. "She's quite alive. Now, bow to your leige lord." The guards nervously bowed.

Ark smirked as he sheathed his weapons. "That was disturbingly satisfying."

OOC: Gah, the most dramatic/cliche moment, and I miss it! Ah well...

Vace had been shocked but was now smiling that Cesia had made it. He chuckled at the others and said so Cesia could here, "Excuse me, miss princess of a lost kingdom? You might want to convince Tama to let you go so you can put a stop to the dying down on the battlefield, hmm?"

ooc: Way to respect the dead, Jerk. I should have Gin and Cid haunt you for that.

OOC: Lynx knows the dark arts, he would control those spirits and probably destory their spirits.

OOC: Actually, the dark arts only summons spirits, to destroy rouge spirits you need light magic.

OOC: Meh, Lynx life span is huge, he could learn those soon enough.

(OOC: I'll laugh if Jad brings the guys back to life to haunt you. Or better yet, their swords become posessed, and they begin to chase you around. And I'm bored, because Tamakatari doesn't have much to say unless he's either dragged away or Cesia says something.)

OOC: He can try what he wants, Lynx can just use his dark arts to control the two spirits until he learns how to destroy them.

<Hello Lynx.> two voices said. He recognized them both as Cid's and Gin's. <Since you were so kind as to prevent us from getting peace. We're going to be with you forevermore.>

ooc: if you know your superstitions you can only get rid of a ghost by putting their body to rest in holy ground. any other way of disposing of a body causes them to wander restlessly. i.e. Freddy Krueger. And your never going to be able to control the both of them.

OOC: Well in that case...

Vace said again loudly, as he watched the battle below, "Hey, Tama, you should probably let her go before you squeeze the life out of the last heir of the line, and so she can out an end to this battle. This has been a fairly momentous night and all, and I might have shed a tear or two, but it's time for us to get bakc to reality."

EDITOOC: Bwahahaha, Jad did it, that's great!

(OOC: HHAHHAAAAAAA! :D I can see it now. Lynx lies in his bed, his eyes are pasted open, and he watches Cid and Gin do a tag-team wrestling match with some dead cavemen in his room. BWWAHAHAHAAAA! Oh, and Forever, I'm not holding her anymore. I let her go a while back.)

"Big deal..." Lynx said to nothing. Waving his hands, the two spirits were sent away to the netherworld, to be slaves to the demons that lived there.

"Oh....o...k..." One of the guards asked, "Can we stop bowing yet sir?"

"No."

(OOC: Well, until Celes decides to speak, we just continue with the comic relief!)

One of the guards tried to get up from bowing the Cesia. He was rewarded by getting smacked in the head by Tamakatari.

OOC: How about making them address her as "Grand High Dominatrix of the World and Universe, Splenderous Queen Who Makes Tulips Wilt In Shame, etc."

Then have them do it again in French and German.

Vace was continueing to watch the battle. "Umm, I think Cid's forces are doing a lot of damage to the allied forces. Anytime you can get down there and help would be good Cesia. In fact, I think they just punched a hole in the main line..."

"What are you talking about? They see the flag, the fighting has stopped..."

Ark looked. "Correction to that. Everyone past the first two ranks has stopped fighting. The remaining two are still going at it..."

"Get Jude to fly the flag up... Where is that idiot anyway?"

"Yeah, see they were busy in a life and death struggle at the front lines and just kept fighting, and without all the other allies fighting, their in bad shape. In fact, I think that guy there in Cid's army is trying to rally his troops to keep fighting." Vace said.

(OOC: alright, time to end this, I would have earlier, but I had to finish an art project for school)

Cesia smiled, now having recovered from having the breath knocked out of her. The sun was starting to peek over the hills in the distance. She looked at Tamakatari, she was about to say something, but then she was reminded of the legions of confused soldiers on the ground, waiting for some sort of answer. Would her subjects accept her? Would the fighting stop on her command? She hand onto Tamakatari's arm, then she looked at all of them, silently asking them to give her strength. She walked to the edge of the roof, still clinging to Tama, as if just touching his arm made her stronger.

She looked down onto the legions of people, as they looked up at her. Then she glanced back at the rest of the group... her friends, with them, she had made it so far and overcome so much.

So much of the future was unclear to her, but now... she knew that whatever challenge would come, they would overcome.


(OOC: *sniffle* alright, now for an 'aftermath' chapter, it's just gonna be short so people can just post what happens to them after all of this. ^_^ I hope you guys all enjoyed the RP and I'm really glad it ended well. ^_^ )

OOC: Correction, Cid and Gin's ghost may be one of the funniest things I've ever seen in an RP.

Good RP Celes. I give it two thumbs, a must see for the whole family, even if it had some slow parts.

As Gin and Cid were talking, a large demon came over and grabbed Cid, then threw a collar on him. "Yay, new human slaves."

OOC: Well, now that it's all said and done, I feel like summarizing all 17 threads into a single novella... Except that half of it would be OOC arguing and the first 3 chapters have been swallowed up by NP Oblivion.

OOC: I just looked at the sign-up. Our characters have changed so much from their original forms...

I mean, Ark was supposed to be this care-free ranger who's just along because of the fact he has nothing else to do.

Now look at him. He's this knighty person who's willing to toss his life out of a thread for a life line just to save his friends.

Then we've got various other characters. Lynx was a wise-ass pest who wanted to be served at all times. Now he's a half human mage who is....Lynx....

It's been a blast people. The character depths, and the plot...they've been masterful. *Bows to CJ* I will now go build you a shrine.

OOC: That's organic character development for you...

"I was just coming to welcome you guys to the torment team, You guys need to develop a sense of humor." The demon said.

<Oh well isn't that nice.> Gin said.

<You always think the best of people.> Cid rolled his undead eyes.

<Why do you always have to be such a dick.>

The demon left thinking their target was in for hell.

Gin began to read a book. "Tormenting the living, for beginners" The book was the size of a dictionary.

<Hey look at this, Banshees.>

Cid came over and looked at it. <That sounds like fun.>

The two started to scream at the top of their undead lungs. The sound went on without end.

OOC: It's good to know that Cid and Gin have just changed themselves into women.
