One more take on 434 Take Two

OK, from what we have figured out, it is Black Mage and Fighter whom are talking. Possibly after everyone else is killed off by Black Mage.

And I said assumptions are bad. Theif has reason to complain about the trip to Gurgu, and if he died, he'd go to hell. Once he got to hell, do you think it would be THAT hard for him to trick the people down there into signing a contract naming him as hell king? Especially if he didn't have any fleshy mortal meats to weigh him down?

Furthermore, considering what happened to BM, is Thief gonna waste time blabbering about torching his body before he does it?

The helly text could be theif. Furthermore, he'd laugh about it too, later on.

My point has been made. Assumptions are bad.

The main guy talking (the one that says "remember when we went to Gurgu") has to be BM. It is his internal dialouge, and the reply is "we". BM obviously had no say in the matter, otherwise he'd be inside the Deathtrap.

MetalPsycho 11-23-2005 11:40 PM

Yea, it doesn't make sense for Thief to be talking about an event that happened to BM.

The Wizard Who Did It 11-24-2005 10:29 PM

Remember, he asked why did they do it like that etc.

Unless someone goes to Gurgu again, it is the only thing that really makes sense.

Also, assumptions are bad, but most of the time they are the only thing you have to go on. Otherwise you end up like that one philosopher dude who said who can't be sure you know something so therefore you don't know it. Serious paraphrasing and possible lie, but that was pretty much what he said.
Therefore, we start out with the educated guess (as apposed to assumption) that it is BM talking. And from there we argue.

BM could be talking to himself. The entire conversation is theoretical. It never happened but it's funny, and that's because it was a joke. Get it now?

POS Industries 11-25-2005 01:23 AM

Yes, assumptions are bad, but the idea that it's BM and Fighter talking isn't one. It's a conclusion, drawn from information given mostly by THE AUTHOR HIMSELF.

That is all. I return to my silence. Good day.

Burkion 11-25-2005 02:38 AM

To the 'BM talking to himself' idea...that's just plain stupid. Why? He's asking THEM why THEY did it like that. That's not inner diolouge. That's a glimps into the future. A dark future, if my guesses are correct.

catlover20410 11-25-2005 09:56 AM

People seem to think that BM was the only one who suffered.

He isn't. Thief lost all his accumulated gold and treasure to WM's hammer. Furthermore, that happened ON the volcano instead of as they were leaving.

Yes, I am going to insist that there be THINKING done. Thinking you don't want to do.

BlackMageFF1 11-25-2005 10:00 AM

I always thought it was BM (Orange) and WM (Red) talking after the Gurgu incident.
