Thank you, Brian

Hello everyone.

I've been an active reader of 8-bit theater, ever since I stumbled over it - which was when there was 400 comics or so, I think... Anyways, I really must express my warm thank you to Brian Clevinger, Sosa and all the others who keep this site up and running.

You guys (and girls) do an excellent job, and I just needed to tell you all this. I have several obligations on the net, and there is always a lot of work I need to do, but reading this comic from time to time, relieves a lot of stress and enables me to continue working - while giggling away under my breath.

I especially loved 8-bit in the beginning, when it followed the "plot-line" in FF1 the closest - especially the "I will knock you all down"-bit. Hehehe. But even now, when 8-bit has taken a turn for a more liberal version of FF1 and actually become a completely seperate comic, it is an amazing read. The evolution from the early days till now have been fluid and captivating, and I am really looking forward to how the comic will continue to evolve.

It's a fantastic feat to be able to create a completely new comic page each 2 day or so, and still be able to create extremelly funny one-liners and to create a comical suspension for the next page. Especially when we are now counting 627 epidoses already (although the intermission strips fall outside this notion).

Since I have been reading this comic for so long, I thought it was time that I forwarded my appreciation to where it belongs.

Thank you all, and especially Brian, for keeping the comic and site alive.

PS.
Where is the new comic?

Just kidding. It's a shame about your car, Brian. Just remember that you can always get in contact with the Worthless Piece of Shit. I believe you remember the name of the truck (company name), which means you can call the company and ask who drove a truck on that road on that day. (Or contact the police, and have them do it for you. After all, what he did could've led to a disaster, endangering lots of lives. Plus, he is responsible for your damages, thus can be charged with that.)

Take care.
Regards Tom

We <3 you

This must be an immensely stressful time for Brian. Not only does he have to deal with some extraordinary real-life circumstances that have sprung up at the worst time of the year, but he also now has to deal with an over-angsty fanbase who apparently has become increasingly aggravated with the lack of comic updates.

Well, Brian, your staunch supporters are still out there. Though I'm saddened to see 8BT's storyline grinded to a halt, I understand and emphasize with your position. If I were in your shoes, updating an online comic strip would be about the last thing on my mind, too. You're still a creative genius and an inspiration to a lot of us out there, and we're looking forward to seeing you continue 8-Bit as soon as things calm down in your neck of the woods. Nail that son of a bitch to a post, and come back to us once you reign victorious.

SP
BM: Hadoken!

TP
RM: Nice try BM, but I've studied your Hadoken and deduced that a barrier of pure hate neutralizes it!

FP
BM: Damn you all...

5P
RM: However you did manage to kill Thief and Fighter, and destroy the rat tail.

6P
Sarda: No killing Thief and Fighter. *Revives them*

7P
BM: DAMN IT!!!

8P
Fighter: Whew that was a close one, eh Black Mage?

I agree that some people need to have some patience when it comes to this thing. Brian is in need of some down time after all this, so he should be allowed it.

BlackMageFF1? Remember that whole thing where we're not supposed to do that? Yeah.

Tom: Couldn't have said it better myself. I see Brian as an inspiration for writers, and I love this comic. He knows what he's doing, and he kicks ass at it. You take your time recovering from Worthless Piece of Shit, Brian, I can wait.

I don't say this much, but I will say this now: You rock Brian.

I also find myself a bit upset at the no updates thing, but as has been said, he needs the time, he can take the time, and anyone whois genuinely pissed off at this turn of events is not a real fan.

Okay, I'll join in. Brian, you're great!
I was going to think of something funny to put here but then my brain just died.

What happened with Brian's car? I didn't see anything about it on the front page--do I have to clear my cache or was this just mentioned on the boards?
