How The NPF Saved Christmas Discussion 1: Deck the Freakin' Halls

Talk about the RP here.

I'll also post information about the various monsters you come across in there, as well.

In the RP, the monsters will have various categories. Use these to help you write your combat posts:

Categories

Cannon Fodder: Enemies that you can kill en masse at a whim. Troublesome in large groups if you are alone, but nothing that should give the group anymore trouble than a speed bump.

Troop: You can still kill these en masse, but not quite a whim. They are somewhat organized, and, if you encounter a group alone, will be hard pressed to defeat them.

Veteran: Easy to kill one-on-one, but harder to kill en masse. Organized and skillful fighters. To take on a group of these by ourselves is ill-advised. You’ll probably win, but be much the worst for wear.

Elite: Moderate to kill one-on-one, very hard to kill en masse. They have the natural abilities to go toe-to-toe with any character. Trying to take on a group one-on-one is suicidal.

Mid-Boss: Hard to kill. These basically serve as the lieutenants of the legion you are fighting. Impossible to take on one-on-one. Team tactics will make this battle go much easier.

Boss: Very hard to kill. The working Generals of the legion. Working as a team is a must to defeat these, as any loners going up against them will surely suffer. Only one per chapter or so.

Lord: The leader of the legion. Very hard to kill, even with a whole army.

And for the information on the Devil Dogs:

Devil Dogs

Basic info: Devil dogs are the off-spring of a hell hound and a mortal canine. This results in the mutated appearance of the beasts, since they are not truely demonic or mortal, but a sick mix of the two.

Appearance: Misshapen wolves. Have the general look of a wolf, but is larger. Fur is either pitch black or blood red…some have a combination of the two. All have white eyes with no pupils. Devil Dogs also have some sort of mutation that makes them different from normal canines. Some have more than one mouth. Some have more than four legs. Some have more than one head.
Use:: Tracking (DDs have an excellent sense of smell), cannon fodder.
Weapons/Abilities: No special abilities other than senses. Use teeth and claws as weapons.

Quick question-- What form will this message you sent us take? Will we be teleported there, or will we have to get their on our own?

The message on takes on any form you want. It can come across on your TV screen, and e-mail, you dog saying he has something to pass along to you...anything. Just have fun with it.

And you have to get there yourself. Most people have strong enough powers it shouldn't be much of a problem for them. Assume enough time has past that you get there in time to help TB fight the devil dog pack.

Remember kids, when you rearrange the letters in Toastburner, you get A Boner Strut. God, I love strategically placed anagrams.

:brow:

Shame we can't do one word replies. The eyebrow smilely by itself would of been much better.

Yes, but an anagram of CheshireThief can be FIERCE HE SHHIT, HERETIC HE FISH, and HI CHEER FETISH.

But I can't talk, an anagram for my name being "YES IN PORN" and the oh so cool "RONNIE SPY"

Raiden 12-02-2005 03:43 PM

Do you people make up those anagrams, or are you using a program? Because I'm not following it at all.

PyrosNine 12-02-2005 04:17 PM

I searched yahoo and found an anagram maker. But being lazy, I won't post it.
"AI Nerd." is the best I see for the name Raiden. Or "A DINER"

Premmy 12-02-2005 05:42 PM

I can't think of one for me, too many of the same letters.

The Wizard Who Did It 12-02-2005 06:04 PM

You have a program? I'm interested to see what it would do with my name.

Y'see, I'm too lazy to do it myself.
