the two things we all do with our spare time, soccer and megaman are now COMBINED (well...actually they have been since 94.. but who's counting?)

I bought this game years ago but lost it...I downloaded the rom today and I must say-

I. LOVE. MEGAMAN. SOCCER!!!!!!!!!!!!

am I the only megaman soccer lover on this board? (probably)

Sort of. I LIKE the game, but thats a big difference from love. I will say that any game with an 'unlockable character' that you can't unlock is awsome, though Toys'R'Us is responcible for that part of that.

You know, I've had the game for quite some time (probably a good 3 years) and never played it beyond the store where it was sitting in their SNES for months.

To be fair, I have probably a good 100 games I have treated the same way, including Panzer Dragoon Saga....

Hmmm, I think I should pull out my saturn sometime...

I enjoyed megaman soccer, but I never figured out how to do the friggin superkick, aside from mashing buttons. And all my enemies seemed to use it, and so I could never get to play wily.

But it was pretty easy for a megaman game, albeit a sports themed one.

Like I said, there was an unlockable that you couldn't unlock-Wily. As for super kicks, IIRC, you held L+R while you kicked the ball. Only got a few chances to do it per half though, I think the base setting was 2.

Are you sure you can't unlock Wily? I am certain I've played as him.

I think I do love Megaman Soccer. I can't be sure, because five minutes ago I had no conscious memory of the game that hadn't been forgotten. Now it's all flooding back.

I wonder what kind of event can lead one to repress the existence of Megaman Soccer?

You can play as him if you play in the league mode as certain teams, but you can't unlock him to build a team with him in it.

What I hated wa my guys ALWAYS ran slower than the CPU no matter what team I played or what character...

That's probably because everyone moves slower when they have the ball.
