Who is better:Kefka or ExDeath?
Personally I like Kefka better.
|
That's because Kefka has character.
X-Death is too stereotypical AND he's a dumb fool. The common question is Kefka or What's-His-Face from FF7, which I have never played. I say Kefka with assurance in all scenarios because what I hear about the white haired Bishie doesn't impress me. In fact, the overblown asininity of what I hear about the guy annoys me. Garland conquers all. Edit: Sephiroth. That's gotta be the name. What a loser. |
Hmph, you dismiss Sephiroth pretty quickly as a bad guy, especially considering you never played the game. With that minor rant out of the way though, I also support Kefka as being the better villian. Kefka was one of the most memorable villians in any game ever in my opinion.
"Run, run or you'll be well done!" - Kefka as he tries to fry his old master, Ghestal Meh, lot's of other great quotes, but I can't think of them right now. |
DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE!
Kefka is the greatest villian ever. He is by far my favorite villian from any final fantasy...he took his role far beyond the call of duty. He wouldn't just kill someone, he'd murder them, crack a joke, and bust the "Muwhahahahaha" Laugh. That soundbit is awesome.. |
Human villains own demonic villains anytime. Anyone can blame evilness on a demon. I likes me deeper storylines about "evil in the hearts of men", even if it's a little cliched.
|
Kefka was cooler, hands down. Exdeath for a tree for crying out loud! But what was up with his girlish laugh? Was it suppost to be funny? Other than that, being able to capture espers and destroying the world makes kefka bad guy # 2, lavos is and will always be # 1, of course.
|
I liked Sephiroth better, even though Final Fantasy VI is (just a slight bit) better than FFVII in my opinion. I've ranted about it before so look for it in one of the other FF discussions. As for Ex-Death, I haven't gotten quite that far in FFV but my friend told me the story and I think Kefka is better.

bah, complete trash. kefka's totally overrated as a villain. he's much less developed then say... wesker from RE. sephiroth is always derided as a crappy villain, but that's normally because he's over used. if you actually check him out, he's a very compelling villain, and one that beats kefka any day.
besides, those statues totally sucked, and kefka was the easiest last boss ever. |
I believe that it is possible to kill Kefka before he speaks in the last battle... so that means Ex-death wins (I never made it to him) for difficulty (hopefully) and Kefka for personality!

Quote:
Kefka, on the other hand, wanted power, and goddamn did he ever get it. I don't know how you can write off a man who would poison the people of Doma, including his own captured men, just for the pleasure of hearing their screams. He cheered Terra on as she burned his men. Raided a town of pacifists just to kill off a group of espers. And what was his dream, when you encountered him in his tower? A monument to non-existence. He wasn't some pussy that just wanted to enslave the human race or rule over the planet. Kefka wanted existence to become nothing. And you call him overrated? See, that's the thing. You can't just go around calling characters that because you don't like them. A majority of people prefer Sephiroth to Kefka. The term overrated generally applies to a majority. Sephiroth only killed those that were in the way of his goal, but Kefka went out of his way to slaughter whoever he could. Who's the better villain? Put it this way: when judging a villain, shouldn't you be judging opposite the way you would a hero? As in, instead of how good be a hero, judge how evil be a villain, right? In that I ask you this. Who's more evil, the man who kills to accomplish something, or the man who kills because he likes the screams of the dying? And, no, I'm not asking for "killing in itself is wrong" rhetoric and concurrent counterpoints. As for Kefka versus Exdeath, I think it's already apparent that I favor Kefka. I mean, seriously. It's an evil clown versus a tree. |
