Hmm... just in case someone pops into Fenrir, my, and TBZ's (Toastburner Zombie) battle, a few things about the anti-magic field:

●Breath weapons won't work (I didn't know that when I summoned the Beholder, but it's apparently true).
●Spells and such are a no-no. This includes even deific powers.
●Summons are dismissed, but will blink back ito place when the Beholder stops looking where they were.
●Only really, really powerful spells have a chance of dismissing the anti-magic field, and then it's only a chance.
●If the Beholder blinks (say, from having it's eye gouged out), then the anti-magic field is gone until it opens its eye again.
●Golems and other constructs, elementals, outsiders, and corporeal undead (like TBZ), still function in an antimagic area (though the antimagic area suppresses their spellcasting and their supernatural and spell-like abilities normally).

And, most importantly, the field only exists where the Beholder is looking with its big eye. Since the field is in front of him, he isn't dismissed. However, he might blink out of existance randomly if one of his eye stalks crosses his big eye's field of vision. He'll blink right back, though.

Finally, the critter can shoot magic eye beams that can disentigrate, dispel magic (which actually gets rid of magic effects, not just supresses them), petrify, and do other nasty things. However, I'm not gonna let it use them, because I'm afraid it'd hit me or Fenrir. So don't worry about those.

From now on, I'm summoning simple things...

Premonitions...for the love of all that is holy, Punctuation IS YOUR FRIEND! I know this entire line-break mess is your thing, but it makes a absolute pain to read, and that's a bad thing in an RP. Could you please type normally while RPing?

Also, could you avoid throwing omnipotent beings into the RP? That's my job ( :p ). If I thought we needed one, I'd make one.

Darth SS…that was a wee-bit godmoddy, don’t ya think? Taking out a boss in one post? I’ll let it slide because I think of a way to have it do something to you in return, but watch stuff like that, okay?

Raiden 12-20-2005 02:27 PM

It might have been a little godmoddy...

But you guys are lucky that my guy is weakened from his big attack. THEN you would have seen godmoddy.

SS, I'm always up for a little dual-destruction, if you know what I mean.

Yay! My advice for the defeat of the Rakhasa was heard!

And if you're wondering why Sub-Pyros is more elegant with the words, it's because he's Pyros's subconcious, and therefore not limited in his knowledge by Pyros's sanity, and nor is the information veiled by the filters of the concious mind.

I was actually planning on killing him like that from the beginning.

and unfortunately, i have to leave on the 23rd, so this rp'd better finish by then, or I'm gonna knock Rhiya out, cuz i won't be online for a weeek :'(

Krylo 12-20-2005 10:38 PM

I'm sad you won't be on for a week then...

But also glad, because toast said this is over the 24th, one way or another.

Mr. Viewtiful 12-20-2005 11:01 PM

Right on, yo.

By the way, if Ecurt or Mr. V end up pulling off moves that aren't in their character sheets (such as summoning combat excalades), it's because they're taking on the guises of The Player and Thumpman (respectively), and gain the powers of said guises. I hope this won't cause too much trouble...
