Just changed my name using that Chinese editor. It sounds better than the one I picked, so I'm using me new one.

Thanks for the system, I'll change my name to: Meng Dian Nu

Here's a question:
Would Magma be considered Earth? It is only superheated rock after all. |
well I know really high fire benders can make lava, but I don't think anyone can bend it. Remember the volcano thing, I don't think anyone was bending lava.
|
Sense magma is the combination of earth and fire. I would think that a fire bender could bend the fire portion of it and an eath bender would be able to bend the earth portion. So I suppose an earth bender would be able to, though it would probably cool off quickly.
I've wondered the same thing myself. edit- also water benders can bend water and ice, and change between the two. Sense magma is just the liquid form of earth I would think they could bend it. |
Roku both melt stone to create lava, and bended magma, so it is possible through bending. A firebender can probably make lava by melting stone, and control it, while an earthbender could only control it. Of course, it would be a master+ skill, so I doubt anyone will every do it.
|
Well, my guy could probably do it, but unless we're near a volcano it would take hours for him to bend the lava through through ground and to the surface.
Thank god there's a level 5 firebender with us. Mintaro, expect you and me to be laying some good old Vesuvius action on some unsuspecting enemy asses. |
A near-master could probably control existing lava, but they wouldn't be able to heat up rock until it becomes lava, and keep it like that.
Though it would be stupid to bend lava, since it is incredible dangerous, much more so then anything else you can bend. |
How about this: When the opportunity presents itself, go wild.
|
Which is why we have Mintaro.
Mintaro would heat up rock to the point where it becomes lava. He would use his bending to keep it at that heat. My guy would not so much control the lava as he would contain it. He'd bend it to a point, more or less making sure that it goes where he wants it to go. Imagine that it's all been set up, and my guy currently is trying to attack an enemy, or more likely a large group of enemies, with the lava. He'd send it in the direction and let it go. Then, instead of trying to control the entire body of lava, he'd just contain it. If the edges are moving out, he'll pull them in. More or less keeping it from going too far off course. [EDIT]: Also, there's more than one Earthbender in the group. If my character is having trouble, one of the other Earthbenders will come over and help out. Though they aren't nearly as skilled as he is, they'll take some of the burden off. |
