A 5 doesn't mean uber-bending, it means you are almost a master.

I doubt a non-Avatar or Fire Lord bender can heat up a rock to the point where it will melt, and be able to keep it that heat.

I'm going to start this day after Christmas. 24th I work a six hour-shift, 25th I get my own laptop, 26th I get this started.

Also: For the lava thing to work in our small non-master group, you'd probably have to take out every earth and firebender from the battle and pray that none of their concentrations faltered. And even then you have to pray that our opponents don't have fire/earthbenders of their own who could reverse the flow.

Also: Who do you think you'll be fighting on peace-keeping-related missions that would require a lava shower? Weren't we just talking about keeping this nice-and-shiny in accordance with the show?

Yeah, but if for some reason we go up against a large group of enemies, we could probably use it as a distraction if nothing else.

Again, the chances of me using it aren't very high. It'd just be better if I asked now and got a clear answer on how it would work instead of in the RP and we start questioning it then.

So... uh... How many more people do you think you wanna let in, Prismatic? This is starting to look like a lot...

Raiden 12-22-2005 01:51 AM

Don't forget the RP Slims, CT.

(Definition of RP Slims: In nearly every RP, there are one or two people that signed up who either A) Never Post or B) Get bored quickly and never come back.)

CheshireThief 12-22-2005 02:15 AM

They've already been calculated in.

also just as a kind of a side note I noticed now that I've been watching all the episodes in order. The avatar is not suposed to be well known until they come of age (16 is the example in the show), though the monks know who it is. And also the avatar can most definently bend magma. Well a fully mastered one at least. Oh and also as a matter of pointless discussion until the 26th. What is the pattern everyone thinks the avatar learns bending in. Dose it follow the cycle forward of where they start? ....Discuss.

Also I agree, mayhaps It would be good to close signups and then reopen them on the 25th and get a final count.

TheBlindMime 12-22-2005 03:00 AM

I believe it follows the path the benders reincarnation follows. So an earth born avatar would learn in the order of earth(naturally), fire, air, water.

While Aang is learning in the style of air, water, earth and fire. At least thats the path he's supposed to follow.

well we have atleast 8 well known RPers signed up. People we know not to do crap like that, or atleast not without some warning. So I say it shouldn't be that big of a deal
