In the case of class change, they either haven't read the forums enough or they think Brian lies, and they think this because they can't admit that Brian has never lied, but he is just too clever for us to give us important information. Or it makes them feel special.

With the Black Belt thing, it is because of the thinking Brian lies thing explained above. Or it could be because they think they have some kind of "never-thought-of-theory-why-BB-is-still-alive" when the only reason why they think it was never thought of is because the last person who thought of it had their post deleted for the reason that their idea was already thought of. It's an endless cycle. Also it can fall into the special thing.

Just to clear things up:

I know many here probably haven't played the original FF game, but when the characters change class, their sprites change, and it's pretty dramatic.
