well, over the course of 4 months, from june 26th to october 26, brian produced 46 comics (counting 5 filler/half comic updates), that averages out to 11 and half comics a month. thats not that bad as the previous fourth months brian produced 57 comics (counting 12 filler/guest strip updates) which averaged out to be 14.25 comics a month.

so the huricanes only knocked out 2 updates a month, i'd say thats pretty damn devoted.

Well Brian I'm not much of a butt-kisser. But I WILL say that your comic was the primary inspiration for my webcomic (at least you can see the influence if you look closely). I discovered 8-bit a few months back and started from episode 1. I plowed through the entire series in about a week or two- and got me really interested in webcomics. If you want to see what could be considered 'the freakish (yet sleek) child of 8-bit' take a gander at Sacred Blue. It has nothing to do with video games- but it's definitely stemming from your brand of humor.

Anyways, i suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Consider yourself flattered.

Brian, you've been pretty awesome as of late. I've never seen an "Internet celeb" so loyal to his fans(yet still not letting them stop you from doing what you want); it's so cool that you're on the board the whole time. I stopped reading 8 Bit for a while(can't remember why, think I gave up webcomics for a bit), and to be honest, your "audience interaction" is what made me go "Aww, he's a great guy, I should read his comic again".

Merry Christmas, Brian :)

!

Brian, I know now that 8-bit is a part of my life because I'm watching Rocky Horror for the first time in ages and when the lips sing 'when worlds collide' I spit my beer all over because Matoya and Bahamut popped into my head. You rock dude! Thanks for adding to the internet pop-culture. :D
