My bet is that Class Change has occurred and so RM has assumed the next level of Red Magely existence.

Dee'Em's Denial.

If he cannot believe something could have happened, it could not have and thus does not.

(see RM's theory on Fighter's survival following the Armoire of Invincibility's fall on him. It may have made no sense, but as the Dee'Em could find a reason for it to work...)

I passed it three times because it was in the background. Number 108.

Yeah, but only BM is hit by the spell (because of the "Wall" spell). BM survives, because the comic cannot be funny without him.

Considering how useless RM is, I would love it.

However, I doubt this will happen. Yes, WM seems to be in the party at the end of the story, but she could very well be replacing BM instead of RM.

Still, I will hope.

The explanation for fighter's survival is simple: "Plus the bottom is made of cheap particle board!"

Even without a class upgrade, WM has more class than all the guys put together. :)

What I think is going on here is a run-up to a display of power from...

Fighter. Intuition tells me that some white magic is needed. A class changed Fighter would have access to white magic.

Or maybe RM really is going to bite the dust. That would suck.

The Wandering God

Hadoken is an A-Bomb that moves at the speed of light=way worse than a dragon's guts. RM wasn't even digesting yet.

Ep 434- I never understood it, but I think it goes something like this; the orange word bubbles is Hell King BM, talking to somebody else (Chaos?) The hadoken going off in the third panel is BM finally killing everyone else if for no other reason than because of what they did to him at the bottom.

Actually, I have a question. Has a hadoken ever killed anyone in the comic? Ever? I'm wracking my brain, but I can't remember. And if you are going to say the giant, I always thought he could have been blown away. Like up, up and away. Have we ever seen, for lack of a better term, on-screen death?

The Wandering God

ZAKtheGeek 12-29-2005 05:21 PM

That's almost never been seen, I think. Due to any cause.

Carnivore 12-29-2005 05:31 PM

In all likelihood, Black Mage missed, has blown a big hole in the air ship and is now going to be stuck on the island for a few more weeks until they decide to build a raft or go back and get Bahamut to give them new clothes because the old ones were burnt off due to being so close to the Hadoken.

That, or Red Mage has a dead-or-mostly-dead experience and has to play a game of dice with some omnipotent being so he can go back to the land of the living.

ZAKtheGeek 12-29-2005 06:13 PM

Yeah, what I'm seeing there doesn't really look like a miss.

But I guess it could be...

Carnivore 12-29-2005 06:19 PM

Ohhh... I see that now. Totally missed it before.
Eh, I think he'll be fine.
