Yes?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I also know I am splitting myself off from the group, but y'know this is role-playing, so...

Actually, could we encounter the wierd-eyed man, or should we wait for you to have him show up again? Just out of curiosity brought about by Hyarion's post...

Krylo 01-04-2006 11:43 PM

DB/Psycho: You're both good now

Twiddy: The guy has things to do and places to go. If you want to follow him you'll have to do just that (whether by doing it literally, or asking around and following his foot steps)... or wait for something else to happen that he's part of. Doing the former means danger, as that he can kill you--but you have a better chance of learning who he is and stopping his machinations. Doing the former means safety and the ability to just explore the world for awhile and stumble across different 'quests' or 'events', but it also means that he may be able to make more progress with what he's trying to do.

Hyarion 01-05-2006 04:32 AM

Well that guy is disturbingly powerful.
Shouldn't the destruction of a charged Mana Crystal like that taken his hand off normally?

TheBlindMime 01-05-2006 04:44 PM

Apparently not since the GM did it....

Also he reminded me of scar just then. Destroying traditional magic at a whim with but the touch of his hand.

Bosolai 01-05-2006 05:59 PM

Krylo, would it be possible for a mage to sense that others are mages? It would seem only natural for mages to have some feel of how rich something might be with the life energy, but would they know this like the potency of a smell, or would they need to be actively draining before they could tell?

Doug 01-05-2006 06:34 PM

Oi, head's up.

The computer of mine isn't going through the best of times currently so it's safe to say I'm going to miss out on alot of the things. No, I'm not being lazy the thing went through some tough crap and it needs serious attention and help. Throuugh, I could probably make up a post that can easily make up for the lost time, and continute. Not now through.

Krylo 01-05-2006 07:12 PM

Doug: That's cool. CT's computer exploded as well, and he came back fine.

Hyarion: Magic = Life Energy. When it's not being channeled into something else (which isn't difficult to do) that's all it is--life in essence form. So when it a mana crystal goes boom and mana escapes, depending on the degree of charge, it would have various life giving effects. In this case it made a bit of healthy/living grass grow up from under snow, ice, and stone.

Also, on mana crystals--they are basically specially prepared (through special cutting, utilizing magic to shape the inside as well as the out) quartz crystal. They're made just a little bit stronger through proper cutting.

Bos: Yes... but don't go sensing the steely-eyed man. If you come in contact with him, I'll PM you, and any other mages (including KP's character), about what kind of life force you feel about him.

Kikuichimonji 01-06-2006 12:16 AM

krylo, I'm basically waiting for a post to find out whether I find anyone able to help the wounded, most likely mage-ish. Unless you specify differently or whatnot.

Krylo 01-06-2006 05:53 PM

Kiku: There are plenty of mages, I'm a bit busy until later tonight, so you can either wait until tenish central time, or make a mage. Just know that kalidan mages are usually a bit more calm than others... still not quite right, though.

"Follow me to the barracks, you can divulge your information there."

With that the man turned and waved a hand, before starting off toward a side entrance into the east wing of the palace. Apparently the barracks were housed there.

You should've been headed toward the barracks.
