Hyarion--I think I described making a mana crystal as very difficult and delicate cutting with magic, a rather difficult force to handle with such precision, somewhere in this thread. The head alone would take a few months, as he'd have to cut it not only to hold mana, but also to have the right shape to pierce flesh and armor without breaking/chipping (considering that most crystal isn't particularily strong by itself). Making one for just mana would take nearly a month or just over. Making your first one probably took a year or longer.
Further, even if you didn't know that (which you may not have), it would take months just for the shaft, for that matter--if it was custom made. Folding steel ALONE takes months. Maybe two days if he made it out of non-folded (thus worse) steel, but that would suck, as it wouldn't be flexible or strong. As a result the last two posts have been deleted (one for all that was said, the other because it was responding to something in your post) If you REALLY want to have the thing made, though, I'll let you get a spear with a pre-made non-folded shaft and a non-mana crystal temporary head screwed onto it. Or a more expensive one with folded/rolled steel, but still pre-made. Also, expensive as fuck, so you'll have to spend time actually earning money to pay your friend for your actual spear when the time comes. |
Scary. As such, I wonder, if we get into a situation in which we want to explore other lands (like Termina) will you paint the picture for us? Or do we paint the picture and you correct it.
|
I shall do the painting.
I could let you, but I don't want to be editing things out of posts and fixing things constantly. |
Bah. Okay, sorry.
EDIT: Having checked; there's nothing in this thread about mana crystals (except that the destruction of one would just release the life force and make things grow.) Your only real writing about mana crystals is from the original sign up thread: "mana crystals, which are small crystals that life force can be stored in for later use. Large versions of these crystals power elevators, conveyer belts, and vehicles throughout their cities" Though it's your RP, and it is up to you, I think perhaps you should be a bit more...careful. Nothing I'd read or been told indicated it was impossible for my character to do that, and I feel that situation could have been handled more delicately. Just my two cents. |
Bosolai and Pyros: I wonder which bounty hunting group you are talking about. If it is mine, you sort of missed the chance to come up and talk. And it wasn't really a group either, as I only talked to one person and then the barkeep. And going over to the table to talk to me wouldn't work very well as I'm now outside the city gates.

I wasn't specific enough with where Kawazoe cut Ash (Which is now edited).
It was meant to completely cut her in half from the stomach. I was leaving it vague for Rhiya or krylo to decide if she lives or dies, though I would say she died. Edit - Also, I left it so Kawazoe has not yet left the bar, incase anyone still there wanted to engage him. I assumed Ash was't next to the door, so he probably has a short walk to the door. |
Great freakin' news.
The computer is still in major limbo, but I could pull off a post that could last me literally DAYS... And I feel ashamed for making that Suicide thread. |
.... I had further plans for Ash....
Also, Krylo, The Lioness' Den has basically all but turned into a makeshift hospital, which means that there are still a couple of healers/mages lurking around having food and stuff. I'd like Ash to LIVE, despite IHMN's best efforts of trying to kill her off. Also, IHMN, you've just nearly killed the nice tavern owner that has kindly turned her Inn into a hospital. EVERYBODY will want to engage Kawazoe. |
On Ash's death--If she was killed immediately (like, being completely cut into two pieces) she's probably dead. If not, she can be healed by any number of mages. Healing isn't hard.
On Kawazoe--Tengokujin are 5 times stronger and faster than humans. This puts their sprinting speed at around the 115mph range, to give an example of their strength. An intelligent and/or particularily powerful mage could take him down. Standard fighters (or other folks without competent use of human magic), however, would just bring the death count up. Not that I care if more people attempt to attack him... just they probably wouldn't accomplish much, other than causing enough of a scene to get the guards genuinely interested in getting rid of him. One murder... they probably won't bother pursuing him outside of the city, given their other problems. Multiple and they would. On random bitching about Kawazoe attacking Ash--Like I said, I control the world, you people control your characters, so long as you stay in character. I WOULD like to see PC infighting kept to a minimum because it means I actually have to judge over things... but that's just a request, not a rule. In other words, get an incharacter reason to attack him and go seek revenge if you want--just keep in mind he's probably (definately) stronger and faster than any of you, and taking him down would be very difficult. I'm not going to tell you that you can't (unless I don't think your character is capable of what you have planned). |
Well, Gorefiend and Celes' characters didn't engage him.
His poissble killing of the nice tavern owner would cause people to want revenge. But his quick, effortless way of doing it would make them want to run. Plus, as krylo's mentioned, players probably don't want to risk getting their characters killed. I don't know about the NPC though. Also, how do Kalidan cars work? |
Physical advantage can be taken out by planning, this is why batman will beat superman in a fight if batman is picking the fight, Alot can be said for deciding where and how you fight. Besides I know how to kill Kawazoe without laying a hand on him, or ply ing my characters crafts. You need to get him to cleanse his honor.
|
Ack, I'm terribly sorry, I got a bit lost I guess. I'm trying to find a way to integrate groups, and I'm having trouble keeping track of who is where and talking with who.

Kalidan cars--...Long story short, because I've got to go about now: huge mana battery -> human briefly -> everything else.

Player - Character - Location - What they are doing
Celes - Kaori - Lioness' Den - Healing Ash Squishy - Zephyr - Castle Cells - Being a prisoner Gore - Azetheros - Lioness' Den - Healing Ash (Dregg will leave the bar once Kawazoe leaves) IHMN - Kawazoe - Lioness' Den - Near the exit, leaving. Rhiya - Risk - Outside of Lioness' Den - Locating Cerrava CT - Cerrava - Somewhere in Kalis* - Introductions with Azrel and Palimont KP - Azrel - Somewhere in Kalis* - Introductions with Cerrava and Palimont Mintaro - Palimont - Somewhere in Kalis* - Introductions with Azrel and Cerrava Pyros - Yamato - Lioness' Den - Unknown (Misguided post) Bosolai - Leon - Lioness' Den - Unknown (Misguided post) Newb - Ilgivan - Somewhere in Kalis - Looking for a bar IC - Ramza - Barracks - Waiting to meet the captain Mime - D'vor - Rose's House - Having sex with Rose Sith - Veg - Somewhere in Kalis - Looking for Cerrava The rest of the players - Their characters - Somewhere - Since they haven't posted in a while, limbo *Same somewhere Summaries - In the Lioness' Den, Cerrava semi-announced he was going to do something profitable, then left. Risk, Veg, and Azrel heard him and followed. Azrel is the only one to find him so far. Also, Palimont has been adopted by Cerrava. Palimont, Cerrava, and Azrel are forming a merry little band. After Cerrava left, Kawazoe announced he needed a guide. Ash (NPC of Rhiya's) yelled at him for breaking a table and ruined his chances to get a guide. Kawazoe horribly wounded Ash then started to leave, but is not out the door yet. Azetheros and Kaori are healing Ash. Dregg (NPC of Gore's) will leave the Lioness' Den to get some guard onces Kawazoe leaves (Or will go around Kawazoe if something stops him). Yamato and Leon are in the bar, though it is unknown what hey are doing (May have possibly followed Cerrava). Ramza ran into Ilgivan on his way to the barracks. He excused himself and keep going. Ramza's now at the barracks waiting for the captain, and Ilgivan is looking for a bar. Zephyr told the king what he did involving the silvered-eye guy, now known as Erus. He sold him explosives. King then put him in a cell. D'Vor went to Rose's (NPC of Mime's) house, got kissed, and is probably having wild animal sex with her right now. |
How much days has passed?
One? Or is it still day one? |

Chesire, would it be possible for us to have followed you after hearing your declaration, and then show ourselves now?

Alright, didn't realize that. I have a splitting headache on top of all my recent problems and I am not thinking strait.
|
Would KP notice animal-people's magic? As a human, the magic he would be acquainted with his completely different.
Edit - It is day one. |
Not really. Like you said, it's completely different, although he would be sensitive to changes in life force, and animaeorths have a slightly different life force (which they owe their special brand of magic to) than humans.
