ooc: Can we have Thrawn and Joruus? Cause Thrawn kicks ass.

Dr. Trang rubbed his forehead more.

"I told you. This would do nothing but confuse things even more. The fact that before you burst through those tubes, when you SHOULDN'T have, might I add, you had never existed. If you had stayed in there as long as I had intended, I wouldn't have to go through explanations right now. Anyway, if you want to read them, the books are over there." Dr. Trang pointed to the side of the room, where large shelves of books were stacked up.

"There should be a list over there that says your names and what book titles to find yourself in." Roland hurried over to the shelf to look for his books. He found the list.

"Roland of Gilead-The Dark Tower series 1-7. The SERIES! I have seven books! It takes me seven books to get to the tower!" Roland grabbed the first book, and opened the first page. As he flipped through the pages, his throat went dry as he found that every word he said, every action he performed, and most scary, every thought that had entered his mind were printed down on these stories. The book fell out of his hands.

"Wait. If these are all stories of my search for the tower, then the last one should tell me how to get there!" Roland grabbed the final book, until he was stopped by Dr. Trang.

"I'm sorry Roland. But in order for you to fulfill the mission to defeat the Man in Black, I cannot allow you to read that book. I took you from the middle of the first book. Trust me, you won't like how the story continues." Dr. Trang took the book from Roland, and placed it back on the shelf. Dr. Trang looked at the others.

"Come. If you need proof of what I say, read these books. I liked the Star Wars series myself. I found the movies made from them to be quite interesting."

Garion was looking at the blurbs on the back. He picked up another book in a different section beneath the ones with pictures of him as a kid. "Gaurdians of the West" he red the blurb and paused. A tear in his eye. "I have a son?"

<Animorphs hmm...ahh yes...that was quite true...wait, I turn evil? Better to just forget that one I suppose...>

OOC: Thrawn does kick ass, but I picked Joruus since Luke went after him, although I still don't know why our enemies couldn't be pulling more people through the books (Although Joruus hated Thrawn), OR why when the scientist is betrayed, maybe he has a back up group of villians ready, and Thrawn would definitly be in that group since by the end he was ready to replace Joruus since he was insane. If that is the case, I already know one encounter Luke will have...

Luke immediatly went over to the shelf and looked, seeing a few books with Thrawn's name on them, and the title "Star Wars". He began to look around and saw dozens and dozens of books labeled "Star Wars", and as he picked up and looked at each book, he saw words and thought... and himself! Every moment of his life, every thought, every action no matter how secret, had been chronicled in these books. He flipped thorugh chapter after chapter, seeing friedns and foes turned from flesh and blood to words on paper. He didn't know what to think, and simply went a short distance away, sat down, and closed his eyes, finally going in to the healing trance he wanted to do, to heal his tired body, but also to think through all he had just learned.

Draconas was too stunned to say anything. Malistara wasn't supposed to be here as well! He couldn't believe it. Then, to add to his surprise, he found that there were books documenting his journey he had made. It was almost too much, even for a dragon such as himself. But there was something wrong.

"If I am supposed to defeat this enemy of mine, then you have the wrong person. I couldn't even stand up to Malistara. I was still waiting, still patiently waiting for the right moment to find the twins."

He last remembered having left the human-blooded twin with the king and the dragon-blooded twin with the mother's female companion. He was going to go back to them when they were older, and now this had happened. He could only assume the worse.

"Not bad... this Hagiwara does a good job of portraying my manliness... except why the hell can't I do all these bloody spells this picture book says I can? Just Anthem, Riot, and a few piffling low-level ones... What the hell happened to my Megadeath and Black Sabbath?"

"That said, it is one heck of a mind-job, realizing that you were just a made-up character..."

"Mmmm." said Katla, having remained quiet during the explanation. "I'll say. But why am I here? Tycho Issian is, as far as i can tell, more malicious, greedy, and lacking in morals than actually evil for the sake of evil. And plus, he doesn't have any of these special powers that everyone else seems to have. I can't imagine that the rest of these guys couldn't have taken care of him on their own."

She looked suspiciously at the doctor. "I'm not a token female, am I?"

Raiden 01-11-2004 03:07 PM

Dr. Trang looked at Katla with a smile.

"As far as YOU know, you are."

Dr. Trang looked to the others.

"Well, Darsh. It's because genetics can only do so much. The spells you currently know are the only ones we could genetically program you to have. Those spells are so Arcaic, that they have to actually be learned. You'll have to learn them all over again before you can use them. And like I said before, you are all the only ones capable of defeating them. Trust me. You can say anything you want about being lucky to defeat your opponent, or about not being the right one, but when you say that, consider this." Dr. Trang looked at the picture of the villians.

"Everything you ever remember had been dictated by a person to say what would happen. You could be the most powerful man in the universe, but if the author decided that he wanted a mouse to kill you, you would have to be killed by a mouse. You had no actual say in the matter. That is completely different here. In this world, YOU decide what you do. There's no person deciding everything for you. No one is telling you what to think, what to say, or what to feel. Everything from here on is all you. Knowing that, you can defeat the villians, because there's no person saying that you will lose. YOU can decide if you win or not. From here on out, you are the authors." Dr. Trang looked back at them with a smile.

"Gives you a rush, doesn't it?"

Dante 01-11-2004 03:36 PM

"It doesn't matter. The world shall be mine... as soon as I clear out that goddamn Ansla-Sax."
