Bush just entered a new, never-before-heard-of level of idiocy... how do you arrest people for being annoying? If you could, the press would've been gone a long time ago.

HAH! can't arrest me Bush for the idiocy comment... I'm not anonymous, the name's Seth.

Also, Bush would've also been gone. This is the most impossible law ever. There's no way to enforce it... at all.

(Sad thing is my name IS Anonymous! :p) Just kidding, I'm Dave.

I was on AIM with the owner of the website. She was treating my amiably. She is reputable. She's probably done the whole thing with other people too. I'm pretty sure it's legal. Maybe I'll have to go ask her.

Actually, e-mail spam was not the target of this bill. The law was set up under some other law which helps deter things like stalking and sexual harrasment.... it's supposed to work under the same principle as harrasing anonymous phone calls. However, it is very vaugely worded. The only way it got oassed because it was tacked onto a bill everyone that was pretty much must-pass.

Please note, under the conditions of the bill, it is only anonymous annoyances that are illegal. If you include your name, it's fine.

However, later in the article, it brings up how this is infeasible. If anyone is charged using this law, they can simply challenge it in the courts, as it is a violation of the first amendment.

Spammers should learn it's not the law they should be afraid of.
