Forgotten clue about Chaos
I am going through the comic again and found this gem
http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=010707 where Garland mentions summoning his dark lord Chaos. Any thoughts or has this been discussed before? |
You found actually mr. Plot Hole or then it is still him goal to Summon chaos or to become Chaos.

Wait, if he was going to summon Chaos, how did Chaos send a demon to that P-something place?

I haven't reread the comic, so I didn't recall that one. I do remember the banner though.
Ah, Garland's bluffing...Chaos is not going to appear, and if Chaos did, it would be in the malformed and twisted shape of Black Mage's unseen face, the only witness being poor little Onion Kid who must've forgotten it by now. |

Isn't Chaos the main baddie from FF1... and wasn't it "summoned" at the temple where Garland set up shop.

There was something about how Garland was CHaos that made a deal with the Fiends... y'know what? This, FF7, and Mario are the three games I can think of off the top of my head that indicate that video games are made on drunken bets.
Plus, Garland is a summoner. And he could summon Chaos, just not become him. Or maybe not summon him, but that doesn't mean he can't try. Many people on this threads don't seem to tell the difference between intent and capabilities. Not everything that is said in the comic possible, or even right. Characters are not omnipotent. So in other words, this could have been Garland's plan, and still maybe , but it seems that The Master said it won't happen, so it will not. Doesn't mean he can't try. |
