a sprinkler. they walked by a sprinkler and the 6 men sped up and got nailed by it. the other (7th) man kept his speed so he stayed behind the water and never got hit.

Just to note the answer to my earlier question (as no one answered it), 126 characters had the name Jack during that time.

Been 48 hours since I asked. Questions up fer grabs.

Answer: The 7th man was dead in a closed coffin. the other 6 were the bearers of the coffin carrying it. 7th man was going somewhere but wasnt exactly moving himself so he could not have been speeding up as the other 6 men were.

I call shennanigans. The question said that the 7th man 'catches up' with the other 6 men, if they were carrying his coffin he was never behind them to begin with. It also says the other 6 men "look at the 7th man and wonder how he managed to stay dry." They were carrying his closed coffin, there's nothing to wonder.

Not only were CrotchKnocker's, Monkey's, and Darth's answers adequate answers, they were in fact better answers than the purportedly "correct" response.

The question should be ruled invalid under any of the following -

Quote:

- the question isn't in some way common knowledge (e.g. "What's my favourite colour?")

- the questioner doesn't know the answer themselves

- the question is ambiguous or there is more than one correct answer

But tis why tis a riddle. outside the box logic and thinking is a requisite.

Except the answer isn't "outside the box", it just outright contradicts the stated facts. Outside the box logic is one thing, expecting people to somehow arrive at a logically impossible answer is another.

True, so are you going to ask the next question or not?

DarthMauler64 04-08-2006 11:58 PM

I'll ask one.

Who was the first person in the Star Wars Original Trilogy to say "Tie Fighter"?

Major Blood 04-09-2006 12:07 AM

Darth Vader?

Truce 04-09-2006 12:10 AM

Lando Calrissian.
