What are the two types of Deja Vu and how do they affect you?

Azisien 04-14-2006 09:09 PM

There are three types of deja vu, but here's the two common ones:

Deja vecu: "Already lived through," a common occurance is most of the population, where a situation conjures up memories of an identical situation in every sense (sight, sound, smell, feel, taste, if they're applicable). This is usually called deja vu, but that's a slight misnomer.

Deja visite: Uncommon, refers to uncanny knowledge of a spatial area the person has never been to. This type is explained largely by dreams, parapsychology, or subconscious memories.

Not sure if those explanations count as answering 'how they affect you,' but as I haven't experienced either, I don't know. :P It's like a specialist question if that's the meaning of the question!

BOOOYAAAA
Asizen wins the day, and if possible, a bonus point for mentioning the third type of Deja vu.

I'm not in a good question forming mood, I won't bother with a sciencey one. Awesome Entertainment for 200:

In the re-imagined 2003 mini-series Battlestar Galactica, the capital ship of the same name was at one point struck by a nuclear warhead. What yield was the warhead?

The Wandering God 04-17-2006 02:11 PM

The typical nuke used is a 50kT device (the 50MT devices mentioned are obvious mistakes, since the physical characteristics are those of a 50kT device).

Point and question to TWG. The nukes carried by Raiders are typically 50kT. The supposed nukes used against the Twelve Colonies were 50MT, but I'm also skeptical on that.

Wee! Now onto videogame trivia (again).

In the game Chrono Trigger, eventually you end up at Magus's castle. In the final room where Magus resides, blue (color may be off due to my colorblindness) flames appear as the player approaches Magus, finally ending in a ring around him. How many total flames are there once all are revealed?

I believe that there were 9 in total...
