Why do girls like "bad guys" over "good guys"?
 

It seems to me that women today prefer "bad"guys over "good" guys. What qualities to good guys lack?
It seems like all of these women are hooking up with "bad" guys and then get dumped and wonder why. Good guys are usually the ones who will listen and support girls, and be there for them. "bad" guys are typically portrayed as jerks, who dump girls like tissues. Does anyone agree/disagree or know why. Please women post (guys can too).

YEAH. Big disagreement here. I've never went out with an asshole/"bad guy"
for more than a week. And that only happened a couple of times and I'm the one who dumped them. I don't know what kind of community you live in, but around where I live(I know it's alabama.god help me) Girls don't like guys like that(in general).

To quote the emo song: "Girls keep breaking up with me, it's never any fun, they say they already have a pussy, they don't need another one!"

The moral of the story is to not be emo. =)

Stupid primal notions of manliness, or something.

It just seems to me like the steriotypical "cool" guy is a an arrogent, but self confident jerk.

BTW I am from Illinois in a suberb of Chicago. Small Community 19000 people. But the main highschool in town has people from all around the area and is quite large, sadly it also is one of the top 5 drug highschools in the country. "Heroin High" :( Most girls sadly here go out with trash.

I've said it a million times, and I'll say it again:

Girls dont like "bad guys", they like guys with confidence.

There ya go. I like nothing more than a guy who is out, open and takes a chance.

Actually, a friend of mine studying psychology put forth the following theory:

What are the usual physical side effects of being scared?

Nervousness, goosebumps, shortness of breath, faster heartrate.

What are the physical side effects of being in love? The exact above.

So my friend's theory is that some women confuse the two emotions because their physical effects are so similar.
