OOC: We decided to have our battle in a medium size desert city setting.

Tychael walked into the city of treasures. He was just passing through, but was looking foward to listening to the local legends. As he walked up, however, he found a red dragon wrecking havoc on the villagers. Having been in this situation before, Tychael knew it needed the dragon needed to be stopped. He drew his spear, remaining calm yet vigilant as he drew closer to the dragon.

OOC: Hehe, part dragon fighting dragon... Maybe he's your daddy?

[OOC] not bloody likely. Ohell's opinion of anything that is not a pure, healthy example of it's species may become apparent soon enough [OOC]

I am looking for the fighter Tychael! Bring him to me or i shall crush you all like the pathetic insects you are!

Ohell took in a deep breath and spewed fire into a nearby building which quickly collapsed due to the fire's incredible heat weakening the foundation.

Tychael yelled out, "I am here, Ohell." Tychael then rambled off some phrase in draconic. "Takolona shin niecosabeth, Lucazwa." Tychael sprinted towards the beast in front of him. He never let his eyesight off the eyes of Ohell as vengence filled his heart.

OOC: I just made up the draconic phrase. Think of it as a taunt and play it off however you want.

Ohell turned toward the voice and said as Tychael charged, Ohell replied in his deep, resonating voice, "Well now if you aren’t the sorriest whelp of a dragon I’ve ever seen."

Tychael: "Takolona shin niecosabeth, Lucazwa!"

Ohell reared back onto his hind legs, towering above Tychael. "And cocky too I see."

Ohell then, with a great swipe of one of his powerful foreclaws, destroyed one of the nearby market booths. Sending a mass of shrapnel toward Tychael.

Tychael ran straight through the 'shrapnel' that was sent his way. He incured little damage but did get some fruit juice on his cloak. Some wood chips and watermelons were nothing special.

Tychael faked a straightfoward strike against the leg of Ohell. Instead he made a leaping jump so fast that most of the spectators missed the move altogether. He wasn't sure if Ohell would know or not but he knew he had to make a solid strike fast.

OOC: Two questions. How tall is Ohell and how good is his natural armor?

(OOC: So, you walked THROUGH a large piece of shrapnel, and didn't take much damage. If you dodged it, maybe, but normally going through something incurs going through solid area. Which would hurt.)

OOC: the way I saw it was that it was nothing more than a shattered fruit stand. The pieces would be so small that it would hurt about as much as having a pencil thrown at you. It's not like he threw a whole stand at me. Maybe I should say the pieces flew around me.

Ya it's about bedtime. I think I'll call it a night. I won't be able to finish this until late Saturday at the earliest. Sorry about the inconvienience.

[OOC] I'm going to think this one over. Getting the dimensions and defensive aspects of the dragon is very important. It's offensive capabilities are easy. As for the shrapnel, I was thinking some sort fruit stand as well but built slightly more sturdy. Like a permanent stand that is rented out to vendors. Basically that would mean more wood and a few stone fragments, but nothing more. Although there would be larger wood pieces.

Anyway, I'll post exact answers to your questions tomorrow when i post my action. Also, methinks the dragon stands on it's hind legs at around 27 feet, but I’m looking into an exact measurements.[OOC]

[OOC] Ok, here's a comprehensive listing of Ohell's physical body and defensive abilitys.

Ohell can be divided into 4 parts: head, neck, body, and tail. The head is three feet long, the neck is 6 feet long, the body is 17 feet long and the tail is 14 feet long. That makes a grand total of 40 feet. When he is on all four legs he has a maximum ground clearance of 3 feet. This means that when standing on two legs his hight is 26 feet not including the head which would probably add another two feet.

The following is only information that someone who has studied dragons will know.

The scales on a dragon are used for two purposes: 1) They protect the dragon just in case it's flight ability fails and it must crash land. 2) They protect against attacks from other dragons. Ex. Fire, slashing, biting. The scales are not 100% effective in either duty but they are nonetheless very strong. A dragon's scales are strongest on it's belly where most impacts with the ground take place. It would take a balista at optimum to directly pierce that part of the dragon. The next best armored part of a dragon is it's neck. That is designed to specifically defend against biting and slashing. The scales on the back of this dragon have the same purpose as the neck scales, but not as high grade. The scaling on the head is the 2nd weakest on a dragon. This is because the head must be light for rapid movement, and smooth for eating. The tails are lightly scaled but very tough. Use of the tail is either a balancing agent or a whip. Tail's can also grow back over time so it is not uncommon for a dragon to go through many tails.

The type of dragon Ohell is uses magic to help him fly and live. Without it, he would die. Hence almost all magical attacks against Ohell are absorbed and only make Ohell stronger. Also, Ohell, like most dragons, has a large store of magic already. Waiting for him to run out of magic is not an option. Attempting to syphon his magic is also not an option. Think of that type of dragon as a magic black hole.

There are several chinks in this type of dragon's armor. Most notably in the "armpits" and where the wing connects to the body. The head is also fairly vulnerable to attack as well as the tail. Although difficult, stabbing under the scales is an option if you attack from the right angle, the only place where this technique does not work well is on the belly where the scaling is tightest. When fighting a dragon the best move is to keep it off balance. Dragons are relatively easy (relative being a key word) to defend against if they don’t get on a roll (If you’ve ever played soul caliber then think of how Necrid fights). However, once on a roll (when the dragon has momentum built up) the dragons movements and attacks become fluid and smooth. Greatly increasing reaction speed. Dragons are also only truly quick twitch (able to react quickly without building up momentum) in two places, the neck for lunging, and the muscles involved in tail whipping.

I would like to state again that only characters who have studied dragons in depth will know this knowledge I have stated. And now for what Ohell does.[OOC]

Ohell watched as the whelp charged through the flying debris and Ohell was about to swipe when the whelp moved out of sight in a blur. The only reason that Ohell knew that his opponent had jumped was because of his ears and the split second where his eyes saw the blur moving upward. Grrrrr, I don’t like someone getting above me...

Ohell spreads his wings and with a mighty heave and a torrent of wind, Ohell jumped several dozen yards backwards, allowing him a better view of what would have been above him. The ground shook as Ohell landed back on the ground. Weak buildings collapsed and people screamed as the earth shook with the landing. Ohell then examined the sky quickly and found Tychael, arcing through the sky. “Ah! There you are whelp!” Ohell took in a breath and let loss a fireball toward Tychael.
