That exchange between BM and RM is hilarious. Its obvious, now that fighter has been talking less RM has stepped up to fill in the intelligence gap or black hole. Or maybe RM's SOOO intelligent his head can't contain his brain and its squeezing the life out of them.

I also hope the light warriors have to fight Mrs. Von Vampire, she sounds tough.

"Okay, new plan. First, you two shut up. Second, we kill every non-light warrior in this house."

I think Brian was lazy... over 2/3rds of the comic had the same characters in the same background in the same pose...

Then again, I don't put out a webcomic, so I don't have a right to say anything...

Brian's just setting us up for the next scene. Sometimes we need an intermediary comic to move the story along.

For example, now we have a reaon to leave this stupid house and go someplace more fit for a battle. Mrs. Von Vampire has no objections to roughhousing outside the house. The orb is inside, so they oprobably don't want anything to happen to it. (They being the undead.)

No Larry will come for the LARP with his ghoulish buddies, and our heroes will be cornered by Vilbert and his gang outside the house. Which I shall choose to imagine as a Heroes 2 of Might And Magic Mausoleum, wherein lies the Lich-ess.

Whee! That's my stupid opinion.

Of course I'm lazy, I do a sprite comic! Even when things change, it's largely a matter of going "copy, paste" :P

But if a comic page mostly has the same characters and the same background, it's because there's no reason for them to change. Other comics do this all the time, but since they usually only have 3 to 4 panels at a time, I think it must be easier for them to get away with it since they aren't doing it as much in one sitting.

Today's comic kinda reminded me of the Red Dwarf episode, White Hole. If you haven't see it, you really should. Danged if I know where, as I don't think the DVDs have gotten to that series yet, and I can't tell you whether or not your local PBS plays Red Dwarf, or when that episode will be coming up.

I could maybe look for an episode transcript on-line, but I'm too lazy for that.

Uh... Where was I? Oh, yeah!

Only joking, but seriously...

- Read the episode, and you'll get the joke.

:bmage:"We'll kill you first, so you don't have to watch us paint the walls with your mother's internal organs."

When did he get to be so nice?

Lost in Time 01-10-2004 05:02 PM

I think domethings really up with Mrs. Von Vampire. The Light Warriors are almost scared of her, or maybe it's just because she a mother, all of that mopping the floors, can really build up the upper body strength.

Mike McC 01-10-2004 05:24 PM

Or maybe she has hypno-eyes. Or mind control. Or some other evil Von Vampire... thing.

Sky Warrior Bob 01-10-2004 05:43 PM

Or maybe our Light Warrior foursome are really all mommy boys who can't say no to any mom, thanks to years of patterned psychological torment by their own mothers.

Or maybe she just has a really nice rack that has them all hypno-mo-tized, and in our next comic we'll get to see BM say "Hey Mrs. Von Vampire, do you work in a dairy?" "No, why?" "Because you've got a great pair of milk cans!"

Probably not though.
