Bah, the guy who made this beat the frigging game in 11 minutes and got 99 lives to boot! I don't know if I should diefy him or demonize him considering how he just performed my life's dream of the ideal Mario Bros. 3 game... Argh... Too good. So now all I have to look forward to is training to match this game in skill... I got the same time as him in World 1-1 after a ridiculous ammount of practice... I shall destroy you yet!

He cheated. We've seen the site before, and someone brought up the guys homepage where he admitted to using multiple save states and recording over everything a bunch of times. I'd go and find the thread... but I really don't want to go through all the back threads here.

I thought I heard that too after... Ah well... It's still very impressive. Even to emulate that would take like weeks. And still... I must be equal that skill in playing in real time...

I used to be able to beat it in a half hour or so using time whistles... doubt I could do that now though. Hmm... maybe I should start practicing again as well.

It didn't even take him weeks to emulate. It took him years.

My best time with the whistles was around 18 minutes... Arg, must, get, better... To get through without the whistles though takes about 2 hours for me... I'm trying for that to. After they put bowling and curling in the Olympics some guys started trying to form a lobby to put Bridge in. If it does, I want Mario Time Attacks to get in, on both "Whole way through" and whistles category...

Oh man, yeah even if it was emulated, just doing that level with the tanks must take alot of skill. Did anyone notice he does alot of things that aren't really necessary that could get him killed. He jumps backwards towards the left edge of the screen a few times, and it doesn't really get him ahead or help him accomplish anything, especially since he already has 99 lives and stuff. The movie is awesome though, and mario 3 is the best game ever ever ever

He jumps to the left because the screen moves itself, and him standing at the right edge makes it no faster, and it's easier for him to die that way. Whenever the pipe comes, he is always right there.

Also, he played at a much slower speed.

He also did Ghosts and Goblins (friggin amazing) and some other shooting game which I cannot think of the name right now, that I saw.
