I can't stand One Piece
 

Hi. I was watching One Piece today and I just could not watch it. It was because of the voice acting but it was only one characters I could not stand. Luffe's. I Hate his voice It makes me want to punch a TV, especially the one that is showing one piece.

I mean It has a good story and some of the characters are cool. But what do you think of this show?

Watch the sub. Never ever ever watch the dub. Ever. It is one of the most brutally raped anime ever. Normally sub vs. dub arguments aren't a good idea but so much has been changed in the One Peice dub it is just unreal. Entire plot arcs were left out and character traits were changed and... its just not worth mentioning. I'm not even a particularly sub orientated person, I can take or leave either in most cases (I'm currently watching both the Naruto sub and Dub for example).If you dislike subs or if you simply can't watch them then don't feel forced, but you will be missing out.

In it's original form One Piece is one of the best anime I've seen. It is hilariously funny and has a good plot and cool characters, with plenty of action and fighting scenes. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Can you give me a example of what was left out please. Sorry if this is annoying I would just like to see a example if you can

They left out an entire story arc where the Straw Hats land on an island inhabited by dinosaurs and two giants who were fighting to the death. I guess it was too violent for them to show because of the death and whatnot.

I'd also like to say that Sanji's American VA is a crime against humanity - it completely ruins his character.
Editting in anime by Americans is a long and nobel tradition. It sometimes makes sense, but it can be baffling most of the time - 4kids is especially diabolical about it, so if you see an anime with a 4kids label you can pretty much be assured that it's been screwed with significantly.

The Drum Island Arc, which sets up for Chopper to be added to the group. They fight Number 3 but that isn't talked about at all. I don't know what they're going to do about the Arabasta arc which is one of the most violent.

I would rather watch the subs. The Marines have squirt guns now, they're the Navy instead of called Marines, and just...

4kids raping this show of its dignity completely killed my love of one-peice; I was a fan of the manga, and I was excited to hear that the show was coming to the US.

I cried when I heard Luffy's voice for the first time. I broke down and cried.

Did you just say that One Piece sucks???!?!?!??!? Well O.k. once Fox gets ahold of anything none American they freak (refraining from cursing for a day) around with it until its unbelievably crappy.

Though I don't instigate downloading. If you can't purchase a copy, then I'll leave the door open for you to decide on how to get the real deal.

FOX decided to go all 4kids programming for whatever reason you can imagine, and thus it seems that way.

Agree. What's the problem with a character who smokes? You see people smoking EVERYWHERE. Do they have to replace the cigarette with a goddamn LOLLIPOP?

I just hope the 4Kids version never shows up in Brazil... oh heavens, at least the manga was published untouched...
