Please for the love of God put Mortal Kombat to rest!

I see you're upset about MK:Armageddon, if i recall the name given.
Look at it this way, its basically a compilation of everything the series gave to us and more.
Although the create a kombatant seems a little SC3-ish....

I recall Midway already made a 'compilation' MK game or two. This is just purely stupid. Mortal Kombat gave up the ghost when those horribly awful versions came out on the N64. Now it is just a shambling corpse that midway is using to get people to buy another installment in a pathetic franchise way past it's prime.

Clearly it is also marketing to people who can't keep their hands out of their pants. In the character creation mode theres an option that is labeled breast size.

I was hoping there would be something like that in Soul Calibur III, though. I was a little tired of trying to make 'barbarians' and having them look just like my fencer.

At least you can change the body type...

But seriously, midway needs to realize that SCIII sold well becasue of the fanbase, and the dedicated players of Soul Calibur. We didn't buy it because of character creation, we bought it because we wanted to see the three new characters, and the SCII-SCIII transition between our fighters.

Well, Shaolin Monks was pretty cool.

Yeah, and they said a few games ago that 'Tomb Raider' was on it's last game...I honestly don't believe this will be the last Mortal Kombat. I wish it was...but I don't think it will be.

Create a Kombatant mode...

... the vision of a screen with nothing but a Sub Zero sprite and a colour grid won't leave me for a while...

Can't remember where it was, probably Penny-Arcade, that described Midway's approach best -

"Hey remember when you were eleven and you did that move that ripped a guy's spine right out through his throat?

That's got to be worth another fifty bucks, right?"
