Thief and RM

Although i'm not one to complain...
*breaks everything in room* First my computer restarts for no reason, THEN I get a phone call from my friends (stood on a needle on the way), and when I come back I realise I saved over the background I was going to use (hence the blue background) then while saving a backup I saved in GIF form ruining the colours (recolouring Thiefs naked body gave me no pleasure at all) Finally, while I was doing my <3's my dog got trod on, so I just figured I would end it there...

So without further ado, (as im not continuing to fix it anymore) here is the thing that cost me blood sweat and tears:

http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...hiefinlove.jpg

And to the original maker of the Thief (naked) and Debora sprites, Thank you and im sorry for desecrating them... IVE BEEN PUNISHED ENOUGH *points to needle in foot*

anphorus 02-10-2006 12:33 AM

Ah finally a use for the Book of Erotic fantasy beyond creating really creepy villians. :D

Disclaimer: The BoEF is Open Gaming Licence and as such, is not recognised by Wizards of the Coast. Even if it was, this is Brian's own comic and, as such, he is not required to use any rules contained in any D&D books, whether they be RAW, Supplements or any variation thereof.

Vesus 02-10-2006 04:43 AM

Phew, nobody ask why I used a naked Thief... I dont think anybody, including me, wants to think about why he is naked...

As it has been brought up, DnD lore states that Elves are bisexual by nature, and since that is the normal, the argument isnt proving that he is bisexual, its proving that he isnt!

Juggy#3 02-10-2006 05:56 AM

Quote:

almost all elves are bisexual
Hmm....anybody ELSE notice what I did there....?

Vesus 02-10-2006 06:01 AM

I noticed, but I said its the normal, I didnt say 'hes bisexual because everybody else is'
Its like our world, you dont prove somebody is straight, as that is the normal, and its an assumption that they are straight (talking about a closet case, or somebody you have only hints about (like Thief), you have to find out whether they are gay or not... with elves, its natural to think they are bisexual if they act the same way most elves do, you have to find out whether they are not 'the normal' (not trying to say its abnormal to like the same sex, just using the term 'the normal'

Jared Todd 02-10-2006 08:13 AM

*after reading* ... wait... most of my friends and I are in the same category as elf?

Thief isn't normal though. Although he is an elven prince...... and Brian's not going to be all "DnD rules my life!!!" with Thief. That's RM's job.

Vesus 02-10-2006 08:46 AM

Oh god stop making me think of terms used in physics
I'm not saying Thief has attraction to men because all other elves do, im saying most other elves have attraction to men in DnD lore...
Brian does work outside DnD, thats true, but he also works inside it, so basically in a nutshell im the guy screaming "Prove he ISNT bisexual" but I have an adequate reason for this request

MetalPsycho 02-10-2006 02:03 PM

Skit: Thank you very much.

JONJONAUG 02-10-2006 02:40 PM

You do know that Thief could have been screwing with both RM and BM by saying that RM is a cross-dresser becuase he's been screwing with him? He may be lying.

Vesus 02-10-2006 08:13 PM

As much sense as I would like to pretend I made of that... It just hurts my brain too much... like that conversation Fighter had with Drizz'l... *clutches brain in agony*

Besides, didnt you see the photo evidence? What could provide more proof then a badly done one panel picture, drawn in MS paint by a 2 day old fan, in 20 or so minutes?
WHAT I ASK YOU?

Burkion 02-10-2006 08:30 PM

The fact Brian hasn't appeared here, annoyed that one of his characters has been considered gay? That's almost confirmation.

Vesus 02-10-2006 08:32 PM

Or perhaps its a sign of GUILT
I'm onto him... with his fancy toilets and whatnot

Rhyos 02-10-2006 08:38 PM

>_> It could also be that most, if not all of this thread is spam. And that the "truth" is being stretched. Substantially. :thief:

Vesus 02-10-2006 08:43 PM

If we were specifically breaking rules wouldnt a mod come in and say it? Not just ignore it completley?

Burkion 02-10-2006 08:45 PM

That and I've been using facts, straight from the comic, in my claims.

Seran 02-10-2006 09:05 PM

Clevinger does not want to encourage nor discourage this thread, lest he give away his true opinions on accident.

Vesus 02-10-2006 09:16 PM

Makes sense, If he accidently said something like "I'm not denying thief like guys" or something to try and calm us, or even something like "this topic is not up for discussion" we would go all "GAH THAT PROVES (insert something)" and hurt his poor brain.

Transcend 02-10-2006 09:24 PM

It's fairly obvious he's not posting because all of this is preposterous spam.

Burkion 02-10-2006 11:15 PM

How. HOw is it spam? It's not meaningless. Not at all. As I said, I've based it off facts I found in teh comic.

See, if he post here, people will say "OMG Brian took attention of this topic enough to reply so it must be a confirmation!", even worst, if he says he doesn't encourage nor discourage it people will say "He's not wanting to tell us so it must be a confirmation!", if he disagrees people will say "It's a lie, he's trying to trick us into thinking he's not so we gonna be more surprised when we see it was true!", and if he agrees, well......

It's kinda an ankward situation, people can go all over with theories if he does anything. People are stubborn, anything will hold signification if it can prove their point.

(lol, I kinda feel "People" is a person in particular the way I talk... XD )

Now, I think it may be a better attitude to look from afar and say nothing... ;)
Unless things turn really ugly here.
But it's not the case, and Transcend, just don't go all "YOU IS TEH SPAMMER!!" all over us, we are having a discussion, we're sticking to the topic...I really don't see why you have to complain, exept maybe the fact you are feeling uncomfortable with such a topic.
If it's the case, just don't read here and leave people discuss about it if they want. There is no need to start a fight here...

BlackMageFF1 02-11-2006 12:00 AM

I think RM is an asexual...

This had not got out before! XD lol, funny theory, but can you prove it?
:D

Jared Todd 02-11-2006 12:45 AM

Transcend is teh snobby and hoity-toity. >:3

Actually, I saw the name and the personality waaaay back in the old topics, back when nobody had memberships and just used names. It said "Transcend". Did'ja come back or something...?

Oh yes I am the one, the only, the snobbish arsehole Transcend. Ain't nobody else with that pretentious of a username and a personality except me. Well, me under the Transcend name. Names are roles on the internet. Transcend is one of mine. I like him. He's fun to write for. And since I was around way-back-when before the Great Forum Migration, yes, I did come back.

And by God, we're on page 11. This is a monstrosity. How long will it get? Will it move to General? Will it, God forbid, be stickied?

Indeed. 11 pages of meaningless discussion. What is there to discuss?

1) He is elvish
2) He is royalty
3) He is a ninja
4) He was able to steal anyone's (including female townspeople AND White Mage) clothes but he chose:
http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=010523

He was trying to prove a point to Black Mage. I think he would have chosen to remove some female's clothes unless he had a personal preference himself... :p

All this points to bisexuality at least.

All I can say is thankyou to Burkion for coming up with this topic because it has encourage a whole lot of Theif X RM fan art, all of which is hilarious.

Amake 02-11-2006 07:13 AM

Didn't you know? All cast members of 8BT are funsexual, being funny (to us) is like having sex for them. Running jokes are their babies.

Burkion 02-11-2006 11:26 AM

Plus, how is it meaningless? I've given facts from the episodes themselves, and that is a good point Trepie, I forgot about him stealing Fighter's armor. Why would he do that? He could have stolen WM's clothes, that would have worked just as well? Did he? No.

There's a large difference between armor and clothes in practical terms.

(EDIT: Oh, now I remember the episode. One of the earlier ones, wasn't it? I guess it was just funnier. :p)

Anyway.

Let's say, for the purpose of discussion, that Thief is indeed a honest-to-god 100% fruit. If that had any kind of impact on the story, I think it would have been mentioned by now, unmistakably. Or, okay, maybe that's something to come and you've found subtle clues, Burkion. I don't think it's like that, personally, but a theory is a theory, and discussing this theory is certainly a lot more valid than, say, the eternal favourite How Black Belt Could Return (although Brian seems to have silenced those quite efficiently).

I do have to say, however, that arguments like "Brian didn't say Thief wasn't gay" are almost the textbook definition of "clutching at straws."

And with that, let's come to an end - this discussion has been going on for nearly two threads' worth now.
