Legend of Mana

Legend of Mana, is, in my opinion, one of the greatest games I've ever played. It has led me through many tear-stained and horrable nights, and I've been better from the experience.

I simply wish to know if there are any more Legend of Mana fans out there, or fans of any Mana title.

Because... I have an idea, which I'm hoping of putting to action. Of course, I would have to know if there are any fans of it...

And if you are a fan, who's your favorite character, or characters?

Mine are Daena and Sierra, paws-down. ^.^

You got one here! I've loved that game but I don't have it anymore :(

Favorite characters:
Larc, Sierra...and Pearl was cute...

But it's too bad they don't focus too much on this series, only 6 games or so so far(If you count World of Mana) while Final Fantasy has 15

Saint Turrequise 02-08-2006 08:50 PM

Wait, World of Mana? What's World of Mana? Is that an MMORPG?! *whimpers, begins to drool... a lot*

Errm... Yeah, anyway. It's getting fairly hard to find. Personally, I scope the eBay sites, looking for what few copies of the game I can buy cheap. I've got three copies, so if one goes off, I have the others. Hee... Yes, I'm obsessed with the game... but I've been playing it for 4 years and still haven't found everything! *shaks head* And I'm pretty sure you can learn an allies' ulitmate special technique by marrage... (Why else would there be the Church of Mana later in the game?) But I'm not sure.

And Pearl was cute!... But she flirted with my female character a -wee- too often.
I've been dreaming of creating an MMORPG based in the Mana world, a project which I've mentally dubbed 'Heart of Mana'.
I just have to have some actual SKILL at doing anything of the sort, first.

Legend of Mana, was one of my favorite games (sadily I have to add, a long while back because it really has been a long while back that I last played it)

I guess since you guys really liked it, you also played Sword of Mana which was released for the GBA. Yeah the GBA is like really old but so what???

Saint Turrequise 02-08-2006 09:21 PM

Yes, i've played Sword of Mana, but I didn't like it as much as Legend... I kind of use that as a fix if I really need to play a Mana title.

White Angel 02-08-2006 09:44 PM

World of Mana is not an MMORPG, in fact, it seems like it plays more like Legend; which is fine by me!

I heard about it on gamespot and gamefaqs.

And Sword...I just feel like they tried to combine Shinyakku Seiken Densetsu and Legend of Mana, failing...

Saint Turrequise 02-08-2006 09:59 PM

I'd love to play World, but it doesn't seem to have an english dub. :gonk:

And yes, Sword wasn't that good. I like to use the weapons no one else has, I.E. Staves, Spears, Gloves... (Not counting that fat bunny merchant I hate so much)... Sword wasn't good at keeping up with that.

White Angel 02-08-2006 10:14 PM

yeah, it doesn't have a release date here yet (last time I checked, at least)

But we could request it to be released in North America, or, quoting RM, "If that doesn't work, then the hours upon HOURS of whining will"

Punk kids and your fancy 16-bit graphics!

When I was a boy we played Final Fantasy Adventure on our Game Boy Grey & Fuglies!

Uphill, both ways!

Heh, I still have my FFA cart from way back when. Last I checked, my savefile was still intact, too. I think I prefer that over Sword of Mana a good bit, really.

Legend, I was a huge fan of. I'm surprised so many people here are into it, because I seem to recall it got a really cold reception from series fans when it first came out. It's a departure from the previous titles to be sure, but I kinda like the direction they went in. By the few screens I've seen of it, I'm guessing Children of Mana (DS) will go in the direction of the traditional games, and hoping World of Mana will continue on in the spirit of Legend.
