The Light Warriors' Reputation

Ok I've been looking over strips and the like and I've come to realise that Theif is the only light warrior who hasn't really had his reputation soiled by wierd events or personal issues in the comic. Events so bad that even Fanboys and Fangirls of these characters hae stood shocked in disbelief that they could follow such a creation. (This means at the time of the comic being put up. Most of these things are looked back and laughed upon by everyone)

It doesn't matter if it features in one comic or is a running gag.

Red Mage:
Cross-dressing
His reaction to 'Quest Experience'

Black Mage:
The puberty thing
His 'self-love' incident in the castle of ordeals

Fighter:
'Two Fisted Monkey Style Attack'
Arachnaphobia

Theif:

The worst I can come up with is the fact he's elvish. Sure bad things have happened to him in the comic but not in the sense that a personal issue has caused other members of the team let alone thief fans to lose respect for him or think he's a wierdo.

I'd like people to contribute to make a list of incidents like those I already have posted above which suggest how certain characters have developed.

I would especially like to be able to add one for theif.

And please, if you are a theif fan. Don't post stuf like:

"OMG that is because Theif is t3h greatest."

If you think that, see what Burkion has to say in my sig and get over it :p:p

"Two fisted monkey style?" How is that bad?
Thief was bad enough at the beginning not to deserve any worse.

Well personally I just lost all respect for fighter when I first read that and it was a hard road for me to get any of it back...

If enough people don't agree with it I'll change it though.

You have enough other examples to draw from. Fighter really hasn't shown himself to be either smart or competant.

ALso, Thief doesn't really have anything against him. The only thing that went wrong for him was the deal with Raven, and I don't believe anybody lost respect for him there.

Soiled? Red Mage's crossdressing made me love him.

Burkion 02-08-2006 11:51 PM

Thief IS gay, you know. BM will hold that against him. If he finds out...

Oh, and he's a greedy bastard who's also a racist(Specisest?) to the highest degree.

I beg to differ. 318, 449, 488, and 272 all show that he is inteligent.
And Theif makes a living out of deception and vileness. And he made Red Mage do the crossdressing thing. And why did he do that if not to see RM in a dress?

I'm laughing, because I'm an advocator for the he's smart and all thing.

However, by the fact that nobody, none of the LWs, think that he is smart, he has therefore not shown himself to be smart. In other words, he has done really dumb things. Like in this newest comic.

I thought the general consensus was that Fighter was smart, but just really naive and impulsive.

And by the way, if you don't think Thief has some bad times on the way for him, I have two words for you: Trickster God.

This comic has nothing to do with intelligence, but rather with inability. It would have been a brilliant idea if he had executed properly. Unfortunately, he overestimated his abilities--a very common trait among 8BT characters.
