Tournament?
 

Unorthodox it is.
A tournament held by the forum-goers, what ya say?
Look, when I first made this tournament I wanted it to be simple fighting between normal guys... not some dbz or role-playing element sword-fighting arrow-dodging one. The setting that matches are held will be determined by me, the match-ups will be made by me... and it'll be one on one.

• Style, technique, and the overall quality decide the match
• The use of any weapon is strictly outlawed
• There shall be three respectable judges to decide matches
• No "god-modding" as in being like a god
• The theme is martial art fighting in modern time

Discuss over the rules.

hmm interesting, but I would vote for things to be complex. I like the idea of a tournament between high powered PCs.

So, wait, we just make a character and have them do some cool things to win? Looks like it could be very fun, challenging imagination and writing abilties.:D :) :( I would be bad at this...

Ah I would enjoy being in this immensly, not as a judge though.

I am already thinking of an archer. Or more depending on the power level.

Rules changed: You can be anything, just not be god-mod.

You can be complex... like a high powered... PC.

we need some idea of power level to shoot for. I suggest using DB/Z as a refferance. their tournaments power ranges from skilled martial artists to planet destroying titans

Here are three choices to pick:

1. A futuristic setting
2. A fantasy setting
3. A modern setting

1. No magic?
2. No guns?
3. No weapons?

I'm tired... if someone who is good at this helps... that'll be nice.

Honestly...avoid magic. And guns. And high-power in general. If you want to make a tournament, you'd want there to be a challenge. People RP without little or no limitations all the time (NPF Avatars being a good example of this).

Complex would be good (in fact, you'd want people to work with that complexity to make strategy and use skill), but that doesn't mean it has to be high-power. In fact, high-power tends to make things simpler, since all too often people say they're faster/stronger/more magical than an enemy.

Finally...I'll offer to be a judge, if you want.

I would like to see something like the dark tournament in Yu Yu Hakusho in reguards to power and weapons. If we use people at about that level weapons have their advantages and disadvantages. So I wouldn't stress it. Besides I wanna use one of my demon lords.

Oh and I like DBZ's rules, just add that we can kill and its good in my book
