Should I buy Quake 4?

Well I heard that it was a great game and all but I want to know if that is the most scraiest most coolest game, before I start buying. If you could tell me some other games that are scary as hell then that whould be helpful also. I know that there are other games out there but I am asking if there is any other game that you whould suggest to me that I buy.

Quake 4 is not scary. It's more of a run-'n'-gun than scary game. If you do want to get Quake4, don't get the XBox360 version. I've heard it's a slideshow!

DooM3 is supposedly scary. It just means things pop out every now and again from behind corners. Not scary.

F.E.A.R. is slightly creepy. Although, the scary stuff gets predictable after a while as it's the same few things over and over.
* "Ack! Was that a corpse just flash on my screen there?"
* Around the corner: "Oh yeah. So it was. There it is now. Bloody!"
* "Hello strange little girl! Did you kill my teammates? You did!? That's a mean thing to do"
* "Hmmm....Where'd the room go? That's a lot of blood on the floor. Oh, their cutting you up a bit, arn't they? Anyways, back to the....Wait, I'm on the ceiling now. OH MY GOD, HUGE MONSTERY THING!"

F.E.A.R. in 4 bullet points. Thank You, Good night.

I would actually recommend Quake4 for any of us addicted gamers who have nothing to do but run around and shoot thingys.

If you have a PC that can run Quake4, buy Half-Life2 instead. You can pay $60 over steam and get everything source-wise, so thats:
*Half-Life 2
*Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
*Half-Life: Source
*Half-Life: Lost Coast
*Counter-Strike: Source
*Day Of Defeat: Source

Well worth the money.

Yeah, and then if you want to be scared, just download a horror mod, there are a few of those around for HL2, like Ravenholm for example.

Plus, mod community of HL/HL2 == about the equivalent of a brazillion games, + better than most reg games.

Quake 4 is actually not that great. Maybe a tad fun, but nothing new. id's slowing down.

You don't even need a horror mod. "We don't go to Ravenholm" was creepy enough. (Although, Dreamscape: Pin Point Blank is rather nifty looking)

Half-Life 2: Pay for one game, Get 20 more! You don't even need to buy Half-Life 1! Black Mesa: Source is porting HL1 over with better graphics to boot! (Suck that VALVe!)
