Is it just possible that Black Mage is a dwarf? I only ask as his face is black much like the dwarves. THough he is quite frial which would tend to poke holes in that idea. But still, just a thought.

Anywho, back on topic. I doubt that BM is a dwarf. Short? Probably, but that does not really matter. He's no dwarf. It's a known fact that he is Cornerian. In fact, WM,BM, Fighter and RM (as far as we know), are all Cornerian. Also, I think the only dwarf out of all the warriors is Berzerker (cuz he stated he was). Now, basically, Dwarves come from Dwarf land, Elves come from elf land, Lufenians come from Lufenia, and humans come from Corneria, Pravoka, Onrac, Gaia etc.

Although, it would explain his hatred of elves, but then again, who does not hate the elves?

Throughout Final Fantasy, black mages have had a tendency of having blackened faces and glowing specks for eyes. SO I doubt him being a dwarf.
His shortness could be blamed on his late puberty.

If he WAS a dwarf, perhaps the reason is he was exiled due to that, but more likely he doesn't have one 'cus he's not a dwarf...

If he was a dwarf, they wouldn't have had as many problems back in Dwarfland either.

Not to mention BM also shows a very large hatred towards thief and elves in general. But then again, BM hates everyone.

Dwarf babies have beards. They come out with beards. If Bm was a dwarf, he'd have to be female. Which also makes him lesbian. wow. Magic armed, sociopathic dwarven lesbian with a stabbin' fixation. No, I doubt it. He's also quite racist; he seems to want to destroy non-cornerians first (stone the elves to death, butcher the dwarves... more evidence, he killed god knows how many dwarf cities.) So no, he's not a dwarf. Also, his face isn't black, it's in shadow. Apparently, he's so ugly that he can drive a person insane. From his "fell over" sprite, we get the best look under the hat; his hair is brown/dirty blonde.

Now, if BM is a dwarf (wich I don't believe) maybe he's having no beard, wich is an highly horrible vision; thus explaining why seeing his face turned the Onion Kid insane.....:shifty:

I don't think so. Again, even dwarf babies are born with beards. Dwarf puberty just means the little dwarf gets a little taller and... stout...er.
