Saw II

Well, I didn't find it to be as scary as Saw, but still a good flick to scare my girlfriend(heh heh), but tell me, what did you think?

The first Saw scared me out of seeing this one.

Enjoy your stay in the NPF. And stay out of the blue room.

I didn't care for it. The bad guy was supposed to be likable. A lot of the movie was centered around making you think "Hey, maybe he was kinda justified. I mean, he's just trying to make people stronger." But, you know what? It didn't succeed. He's just a bad man with cancer.

Then there're the dummies trying not to die. I didn't really like'em. Any of them. And thus, didn't care when they killed each other or threw each other into pits of used needles.

Finally on my list of major gripes, thanks to Krylo, the "scares" in the movie weren't really scary. "Oh no! he got shot in the eye!" So? I've seen a dead hooker with her legs sawed off draped over a guardrail (thanks, Krylo :) ).

On the positive side, some of it was kinda creative, like the guy with a key behind his eye, and, if you haven't been corrupted by 8-bit AIM chat, it could be kinda scary. I was mostly turned off by the attempt to be "deep." It wasn't. It was a bunch of sweaty people with dirt on their faces running around a house and getting killed.

So, if you can turn off your brain a little more than I can or you don't have contact with annoying people who will buy into the killer's crap, it's mostly enjoyable.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to complain about the recap at the end. I'd say it was an insult a poor directiral decision, but it does save folks the trouble of watching it twice, assuming they didn't pay enough attention to piece everything together.

.....The blue room crap...I thought you said the Pink room. My bad LOL. I like saw but saw 2 was not scary. not one single bit at all!

Personally I dont see how anyone could have found the first one scary at all. It was demented and somewhat gory yes, but I found nothing scary about it whatsoever. I havent seen the second one but i'm assuming its as unscary as the first one. I'm not saying it sucked or anything, just "not scary". I guess maybe its just me... maybe someone could explain to me what is supposed to be scary about it?

Only saw the first one, and felt horrible for doing so. It wasn't "scary" per se, but more along the lines of needlessly brutal. :thief:

If needless brutality is a turn-off, then avoid the sequel. There are folks getting their shins crushed and some graphic head/axe contact with, if I remember right, uncomfortable focus on the skull peeling up when the axe was removed.

Yay for special effects! :p

seeing some poor fellow's head crushed like a skittle is always okay in my book. ;)

Oh and dont forget the self mutilation to find out your own little number:D

I really liked this movie, as I did the first one. I love the twists!

I guessed two things right:
-I said, "I bet the safe numbers on their bodies". That one was fairly easy though =/
-I said, "That girl has got to be working for Jigsaw". Referring to Jigsaw's "daughter" of course.
