Devil May Cry-esque RP Interest

Would anyone be interested in a role play following the human-demon war of Devil May Cry? During the years of Sparda kinda thing. I have a good storyline set up so far. Anyone interested?

Any more details, such as whether we will playing as demons or not? Do we get to be half-demons like Dante? do we get to be humans? More information would be appreciated and rewarded, possibly with interest (I know, puns are bad)!

I might be joining if this gets off the ground. I pretty much just finished the first one, and am still addicted to the third one, but I just can't think of anything that would make a good character.

I dunno, maybe background info would help.

In fact I do have more details. I may allow maybe one or two demons, but you MUST have a good reason for turning against your comrades. As for half-demons.... maybe one. I had something else lined up. Humans learned to use stones that absorb power after a demon is defeated. The only catch, once it breaks the powers you gained are gone.

Background..... okay.... the party playing is a group chosen to follow Sparda up until his fight with the demon king. Depending on your class, if you're human, you start off with a demon stone. Only one person at a time can absorb a defeated opponents power. I will warn you though, some powers can have a lasting effect on the body, so be careful which ones you absorb. If you're the half-demon, then you already start off with jump and fire throw abilities. If you're a demon, then you have flight, fire, and jump abilities.

Also, since Sparda had guns, I'll allow some type of weapons like that. Tell me what it is and I might approve it. Also, the half-demon has a devil trigger that he can only hold for five minutes before recharging. Demons are in constant DT but can only use half their power in a one hour period.

If anyone has any ideas I'll think about 'em.

Also, if you're still interested please post again. (Enough info?)

There is an interesting twist on this that I like. Yet I don't know what it is. It could also be related to my DMC love at the moment. But that is negligable. You have won my interest.

Also, are we getting magical type weapons, like nevon and such, or standard human weapons?

Other than that, the info works for now. Although I seem to find that I ask a lot of questions, or maybe I overrate how many questions I ask...

I really don't mind the questions. Ask away!

Humans'll end up with normal weapons(sword, axes, etc.). They may start with an enchanted weapons if they can come up with a good reason how they got it. The half-demon'll have the choice of starting with an enchanted or normal weapon. They must include how they have it(family heirloom <--- example), what it is, and how it works. Same goes for humans. Demons have the same choice, they need no real explanation of how they got the enchanted weapon. They may have forged it themselves. I'm leaving a possibility of your weapons breaking or losing their enchantment. Also, if you're the half-demon or a demon, you must state your powers, up to three, and how they work in the sign-up. I'll allow quicksilver up to a certain point, as in it can only be used for a five second timeframe each time used and used only once per chapter.

If I can get enough people, I'll start the sign-up thread.

Still interested because of my love of the game, but just a few questions.

You said you'd allow guns, but would you allow anything like what Lady had in DMC3? Not meant for overkill, just for a character that could turn into a human arsenal.

Also, would it be possible to not just get enchanted weapons, but actual Devil Arms? I mean, yeah, we'd have to be creative and such to get it (not start with it, get it), but it would be cool if it were possible.

Wooo, Devil May Cry! Sounds fun. I am interested.

I am interested. I'll wait to hear some more solid stuff for the RP before I decide to join or not.

Devil Arms are pretty hard to get. You either have to smack down a high level Devil, or get impladed a la Alastor.

...Now that I think about it...I think I'd rather smack down a high level devil. That entire Alastor thing had to hurt.

So...yeah...I'm interested.
