Does anyone else remember The Last Unicorn?

That's right. You got that little tingle up your spine, didn't you? Remembering awesome 'serious' cartoons that took the place of Anime back in your childhood just gets my blood flowin. I just watched The Last Unicorn again, for the first time in I-don't-know-how-many-years. It's still awesome.

But, this thread has a point too. I remember one cartoon where a scientist guy from the modern times somehow gets his mind stuck in that of a dragon's, and he keeps on tinkering around with how dragons work, and magic, etc etc etc. Can anyone tell me what the name of it is?

Flight of Dragons...if I recall correctly.

EDIT: I was close...it's The Flight of Dragons.

Ha! I remember Flight of Dragons! Vaguely... The little flute song still gets stuck in my head to this day, yet I can hardly remember the storyline...

the last Unicorn....still one of my favourite movies....sometimes I still tear up at the end.

It had a really appropriate soundtrack too, I think.

I saw both of those movies when i was but a wee lad... thinking about them really takes me back.

Now that I think about, way back in the day (I'm talking way back, like preschool or so) there was a Wizard of Oz cartoon that my family had recorded that I loved...I would watch it almost everyday before I went to school. I don't remember much about it, other than it was closer to the book than the movie was...they had the tin man fight off wolves and the scarecrow fight of a flock of birds or something like that.

But...that was like 18 years ago...so I don't even know if we have that tape anymore.

And I agree with Starky, the Last Unicorn had a really good soundtrack.

I went over to Internet Movie Database...and according to the boards here, they are doing a new The Last Unicorn...

Personally I blame the beating SpacePope's parents gave him for his delusions...that or GTA. Seriously though I have no idea what you're talking about.

As for the Last Unicorn, I also saw that movie, and while it was good, the book was read first by me and kickd complete ass. The part with the travelling carnival and the Harpy was truly eery.

As for other cool animated films, my vote goes out to Fire and Ice. Has abyone else seen this movie? It totally rocked everything I've ever seen until I saw decent anime, and even today it rates in my top 5.

Well I know of a book about that called the Big Friendly Giant.

Edit: If I'm correct, giants would sneak into human cities and eat children with the exception of the BFG who ate cucumbers.
