FF1-style FF4 characters
 

Don't ask why I made this. I just did.

These are the battle sprites from Final Fantasy 4 (2us), redone in the style of the Final Fantasy 1 sprites. Included are all playable characters, plus Golbez and Anna (who do make short appearances in the battle screen, but aren't playable).

I also included the menu screen portraits from FF4, recolored in FF2j style. Golbez and Anna didn't have portraits, so... I made my own. They aren't great, but they work.

That's awesome! I especially like the Paladin Cecil, Cid, Edward, Old Rydia, Edge and Golbez sprites. One question though; who is the character on the far right?

Edit: Nevermind. I just realized that she's Anna.

Dude! That's awsome. I love the Cecil paladin version, looks just like Vargas. Someone should make a game where the FFVI people travel back to FFI. Again, awsome job.

Shouldn't this be in Arts and Crafts?

Thanks for the feedback. I suppose I _could_ make sprites for FFVI, once I get some more free time (which is hard when you're building three websites and still trying to get school out of the way :P).

BTW, if anyone wants to use these sprites for whatever reason, feel free. I would appreciate it if you give me credit for them, but I'm not going to hunt you down for it.

you should give them to sky warrior bob so he'll submit them to brian. it would be funny to see those show up in 8BR

Why is it that I haven't played Final Fantasy IV even though I know it's a great game. I have played FFVI and loved it so if you get the time to do those, that would be great. I wanna see Magitech Armor in 8-bit.
