Spore

Oh my, there seems to be some sticky fluid in my underpants.

Stick with it, and it might just knock you on your ass. Kind of long, but like I said, stick with it to the end.

I saw the preview for this, just moments ago... this game looks amazing!
I'll definitely be waiting for this. Pure genius.

I got up to when Will's monster killed the frog, then ran away from the scissor monster. I dug the Star Trek battle diddy. Then, the buffering screwed up and I had to start from the beginning. I decided "Screw that, if I'm gonna wait again, I'll just download it." Sadly, Google video says it'll take six hours to run.

Guess what I'll be doing Sunday... (I can't do it Saturday; I'd miss Bo-bobo time).

Please note that I constantly complain about how I can't download things because they'll take too long; it'll give you some idea of how much I want to see this game in action.

NYAO, I like that game! o_o Especially the way you can customize your own creature, looks interesting. XD

I wonder how this can be transformed into a MMORPG?...

Please no. I'm already having too many nightmares about what my custom race will encounter if all the other races are player-created*. A true "Massively Multiplayer" version would be an even worse nightmare.

*Take one look at the "maturity" of many online gamers today and you'll know what I mean.

1 word *drool* :) I think that Beta testing will probably be the longest pre-production proccess on this. I love it though. It's something I've considered before but lack the skill, manpower and cash (and I'm too lazy) to do before :sweatdrop

Edit: Hehe the Star Trek diddy was pretty nice though

In a way it is a passive mmo. Everything is asynchroneous. Even though you won't interact with other players, their stuff will interact with yours and the other way around.

Thats some wild shtuff!

I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT!

It's not an MMO guys, at least I didn't see that part. There's downloadable player content, but it's not a multiplayer game as far as I saw. Does it say MMO somewhere else?

Raiden 03-03-2006 06:12 PM

It's somewhat like an MMO. You don't actually play directly with other players. However, if your computer is connected to the internet, it can search through the net and look at other people's races, and put them into your game.

So though you don't play with other players, you do go up against other people's races.

Full hour version.

I been watching Spore for awhile, but now it's finally 'seeing the light of day,' as it were. So sexy.

The customisation...the possibilities...oh, emergent gameplay.

This is nearing the apex of games, I swear to you.
