Dalthalagus realised that there was going to be bleeding... but it was too late. He felt his mind slip away, and something took over... voilently. Leaping down with a sadistic smile on his face, rapier in hand, he went to work lapping up the blood he drew, going all out no matter who or what they were.

He was absolutely relentless. But that was what was to be expected when you lose your mind. It gets worse when that same vampire that lost his mind used his telepathic abilities against his opponent.

One thing was for sure though... Dalthalagus would be exhausted by the end of this, but right now he had an army to decimate.

"What the..." Jerico said to himself as he heard his name called. He started to think why they would know they were here, and then he remembered about how vampires use telepathy. Just what I need. He thought as he approached Petros, and asked "So why am I with you?"

Petros smiled as he leaned in closer to Jerico, "I like yourself was not always a vampire...and like you I didn't always enjoy what I had become." Petros realized he had still not explained himself fully, "You amuse me, as few things do in this day and age. So if you wish to, you may accompany us."

As always, time marched on, while the humans frontal assault was a monumental failure, the villagers had used the confusion of battle to light the manor on fire. There was no stopping the flames, they engulfed the building too quickly to even fight them. Seeing this victory, the villagers fled, they did not wish to die at the hands of beasts like Dathalagus.

As the manor burned to ruins, Guy strolled out of the building nonchalantly as he walked out of the inferno with a book in his hand. "Pitiful creatures, they do not even respect our house and home." Guy lifted the book up to the light to inspect it more thoroughly, it has been damaged lightly in the fire. "Would you look at this William, they scorched my copy of Muspilli... I loved this book."

"Tis truly a shame Lord Guy." William looked to the heavens above, "But perhaps we should concern ourselves with finding shelter for the day."

"Lets just take the empty human houses." A simple minded youth muttered.

Guy was about to nod in agreement when William laughed, "You fool, they would burn those houses down around us, they are already upon the war path, do you truly believe hidding amongst them will lead to your survival."

"There are caves a few miles from here." Eric said after he had finished drinking the contents of his captives blood. "Though they still might find us there, should they seal the entrance we mightjust dig ourselves free before nightfall." The threat of that was quite low, as the vampires are quite attuned to nightfall. Eric's attempt at humor was weak at best.

"We also have the option of a farmhouse a few miles that way. I believe with Piotr at our beck and call no one would see anything nefarious about it." Piotr bowed a little as Petros spoke these words, his sleepless nights and days were showing their wear on him.

The vampires stood in front of their burning manor, waiting for someone to speak.

A shadowed group stood in the middle of a vineyard. In the distance another figure moved like a ghost across the ground toward his companions. He carried a coffin on his back and made supernatural time. He stopped suddenly amongst the group, standing at his place in the circle. "It is done." He said simply.

"Good." A larger form whispered, his breath sounding like a snakes hiss. "We are going to advance the plan then. It seems that the covens are offering us little by way of resistance. For now however let us settle in for the day. We shall move when the moon rises."

The group dispersed suddenly, as though they had ceased to be. The wind rippled off after them in every direction.
