*Shrug* A long overdue post of Koyuki standing around acting evil, since I'm bored and haven't posted in several pages.

Hopefully the airship will crash soon and I'll be able to do something.

I hope raiden gets better....I was so disheartened by the news I waited a day before I could even post my latest post, especially given the nature of it. I fear I'm a bit of a man who can't stand anything other than light hearted things, for the heavier stuff crushes me up pretty good. If you can, let raiden know I'm praying for him.

And yes, Mime did say I could be Sanjuro.

Addition:
Also, Sanjuro's Running towards Tayuumi and Raikotsu at this very moment. SO NOTICE HIM! You not noticing people! Gah! GEEZ!

Why is Kirakiri holding off elite monks rather easily, and Raikotsu killing normal monks like cannon fodder while fighting a PC?

Raiden 03-31-2006 04:18 PM

That's my question, also.

Just because I'm strapped to a bed doesn't mean things go willy nilly.

Arhra, the Elite Monks are capable of doing powerful damage to demons, even if there's only one of them. There's not going to be a "I let the fire surround me as it crowned my head, letting it burn." There's going to be "Holy Hell I'm on fire with anti-demon seals and martial arts all up in my face!"

And the reason I had to be specific about the monks this time around is because this is what happened last time, where they were simply fodder left to be destroyed, even when I made it clear they were quite powerful.

This is along the lines of Kurama walking up to Kirakiri's daughter, ignoring her death stare without even trying, and killing her with a single slice in the chest.

PhoenixFlame 03-31-2006 04:38 PM

I attribute this to dramatic effect, putting the pressure on the PCs, and because of battlefield events.

The Airship is falling. In the Air. It's certainly going to be hard to keep your balance unless say, you're an air demon, or firmly latched to the underside of the ship, no?

Kirakiri has cover. I have no idea what Raikotsu is up to, however.

Considering Team Good already outnumbers Team Evil, they also have Elite Monks that are 1v1 strength in combat? Who's playing the monks? Whence does their cool fighting style bear description from? I just find it a bit of a cop-out that the coolness is taken away from the Team Good fighters and put on the monks. Really, Tayuumi ought to be stronger than the elite monks, she's Mesden, for cryin out loud, not a nameless NPC.

I don't know. I have a bias against uberpowerful NPCs in a PVP RP.

And Pyros has a point. Let's not forget poor Sanjuro this time... ((Sorry Sanjuro!))

I'd sorta like to know, for when the airship hits the ground and I can finally do something...

Because normal monks are stupid. They have to throw their prayer strips, and they can't exactly block invisible blade-missiles, can they?

Besides, Kirakiri just ate two. We demons are highly competitive. On another note, we're Team Evil, we're the Big Bad Bosses Team Good has to defeat with love and Magical Girl mojo.

Now, an elite monk...Raikotsu would be "fuxxored", to quote some forumites, if he was fighting one AND Tayuumi.

If he's strategically using his powers, that's an application of skill, not strength. So, the Monks may be strong, but are they using their abilities wisely? Nope.

As for balance, he's floating 1/32 of an inch off the ground.

PCs aren't always the most powerful beings in the world. They shouldn't be either, since there would be nothing story-wise to stop them, besides themselves. Which are what the monks are for at this time.

DB, what gave you the idea that any monk would be stupid? Their lives revolve around killing demons. They would be good at it, and not just because they are powerful (Which they aren't, but highly trained and skilled).

So... is anything even happening inside the barrier? Just wondering, because I don't quite know what to post about since the last thing Suzume did was just stand around.

PyrosNine 03-31-2006 08:56 PM

Dude! Sanjuro done chucked large piece of wood at Raikotsu! And you ignored it! Blasted blastyness! OF BALLASTS!

That's it. After the ship crashes I'm going to crush someone on team dark for no inexplicable reason. Maybe Anbu.

You know, there are TWO Team Evil members against all of Team Good, virtually, why the hell isn't Team Good fighting for itself? Stopping us is YOUR job. It can't always be luck, GM Fiat, and my love for a woman in armor winning the day for you.

[edit] Sanjuro's giant piece of wood is now included in my post.
